This video shows the star ship Enterprise (NCC-1701) rise from the sea. Inspired by the scene from the film Into Darkness.
Not 100% sure on what happened to the render but it came out a little stuttery. Wouldn't have normally posted this but as it took 2 weeks to simulate and render I'm posting it anyway.

Thank you for actually posting the dimensions and other stats 👍 I’m building one that due to the scene has to be quite large and haven’t been getting the right results… yet!

That render bug doesn't happen when using the commandline to do the rendering.

@@mattbeddis Flip fluids has a built in CMD rendering option and I also have a tut about using the CMD to render any project.

@@BlenderRookie - Yeah, I know where I went wrong. Baked in app and kept pausing it to see what it looked like by doing a test render. What I should have done is used the cmd bake and just updated the app to have a look. Would have been alright doing it that way. I started to use realflow a few months ago as that was GPU accelerated. It’s no longer being actively updated and when I updated my hardware it won’t use the GPU for the one type of fluid sim I want. lol. Flip fluid is still pretty good, I just wish there was more control over the fluid meshing.

@@mattbeddis I am not familiar with realflow. But every GPU accelerated application I have used(other than Blender), anytime I changed GPUs in the computer, I needed to go into the settings of that application and reoptimize the GPU.

@BlenderRookie - I tried all the tricks and got it working for PBD and SPH fluid sims. Just not hybrido sims.

Thanks. I don’t think it liked it when I paused the bake. Haven’t had it since. Took so long to bake I couldn’t really let it go again.

@@mattbeddis how did you simulate an ocean interacting with an object like a liquid

@@rneffects6578 - on this one I didn’t use the ocean modifier. Trick of the camera angle and used an animated noise node plugged into a bump node to give the surface some texture.

When I made the space ship come up like this, it doesn't work, I gave the domain resolution 300, but still the water flow and fall, nothing comes out right, can you help me?

@@cgengin6864 try adding an surface offset to the ship. Sometimes the voxel size is too big for the mesh.
