Hey man I just finished watching your course here, I gotta say I appreciate it very much. I purchased the new Art of Rigging 2 by Pierick Picaut and that was a slog to go through, so much fluff and unnecessary information there, yours is straight to the point. Much appreciated.
Thank you Todor, you've untangled this mess of bone collections and all the problems that came along with them with rigify (visibility, collectionj, layer numbers, colors...) I'll be rewatching this video to sort it out. Thanks!
Thank you very much for your videos! Your videos were very helpful to me to finish rigging my character and being able to animate it more easily 😄 Without your help I would not have been able to finish my school activity. Your videos are greatly appreciated!❤❤
Incredible tutorial series. Will you create a sequel? For instance, to explain how to move FK bones, as when they are moved, FK bones moves but not the character. And last question can we remove the collections named "WGTS" ?
Hi thanks! Regarding FK bones you can watch my old video about posing. I am considering making an updated one but I think the old one is like 99% relevant. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vKgH5zXIYmM.html I would not recommend removing the "WGTS" collection. It contains the shapes that the rig uses. Watch the last Bonus chapter (it's free now) to learn a bit about that academy.cgdive.com/courses/rigify-basics
Yes: if paying is an option you can check out the Animation courses by Pierrick/P2Design's or ToAnimate. I think CGCookie may also have an animation course by Wayne Dixon but I am not so familiar with it. If you want a free one, Alex seems to be doing a great one here: ru-vid.com/group/PL0qE_ONqcqSUvYEYEDLQ27wJ-IIzmmMXq
Thanks for the series so far, been an interesting refresher as I look into improving my rigging/animation. Just wondering if there's any chance you can look into the new Actions panel in Rigify. As in how to set it up, when and where to use it or not use it, etc I understand it was brought over and added into Rigify from the Coud Rig feature set, but finding any useful info/demos of how to use it isn't easy.
If you have watched this far you should understand this. There is nothing stopping you. As you learned in the Dog chapter, the human face and animal face are the same. Only the bones are arranged differently to fit the model.
Will you be doing a simple animation (hopefully of a quadruped) using the Rigify rig? Just to let us see how someone of your expertise level handles the fundamentals. I would gladly pay for a course in this. Thanks! Possibly a simple walk cycle?
Hi, I am facing an issue while using rigify add-on. In your previous videos I learnt that we can alter rigify add-on. After generating the rig from meta rig, I want to correct bone roll from deform bones. When I change bone roll in edit mode it is not updated in pose mode. In general if we change bone roll in edit mode it will automatically update in pose mode. I want to upade that bone roll from deform bones.
