100% agree. I used to babysit for my sister and her husband. My brother-in-law was into Blondie and I put on each of the beat, listen to dreaming and then the entire album. I understand what you're saying. It's one of those. Not a song on there. I want to skip just the whole thing
An incredible band to see live. How Clem Burke is not listed in the top 25 drummers is the Crime of the Century with no disrespect to Supertramp's title album
We ain't never going back. We can only go through what is now. There's some good shit out now, you just have to shift through a bunch of shit. 40 years from now, you'll look back on now and your Comment will still stand valid.
IKR? She wrote some of the most incredible lyrics. Some of them were very funny if you got her subtle humor. I am sure you know the first one that comes to mind. ;-)
@@zxenon555 Good guess, that has killer lines too. I was thinking of the line in You Look Good in Blue: I can give you some head and shoulders to lie on
Clem Burke is amazing!!!!! I hadn't realized what an incredible and talented drummer he is until I started watching old clips. I have been in love with Debbie Harry and Blondie since 1979 when a classmate brought their records to yearbook class. I wanted to be her so badly! Gorgeous, talented, confident, sexy...all the things I felt I wasn't. Through the music of Blondie and Debbie, I began to learn, and feel, like maybe I wasn't so bad. Thank you, Deborah, for the inspiration and feeling of friendship and belonging you gave to someone you've never met. To this day I would consider it an honor and a privilege to meet you in person, and I would probably fangirl out massively. One of the very few famous people who could make me do so.
Not by me, I drooled watching her on MTV. That is until MTV decided to virtually eliminate all non blacks and push for videos expressing diversity. From a bouquet of carnations to a bundle of mesquite sticks. MTV aught to stop self medicating. It seems that the world doesn't like MTV anymore. I wonder why.
Seen Blondie live 7 times last time was just two years ago and she is still my idol and gives me the goose bumps each time I hear THAT Voice and see Those FABULOUS EYES & LIPs 👄👄 At 72, she’s still just as she was in her younger days when live on stage - her personality never ages. Seventh Heaven Made Her and thank heavens she was part of my teen years and still with us now. Kick it Up Deborah and NEVER put in for your pension 👄👄👄
Debbie Harry was in elementary school when this was filmed and very young like 8 to 10 years old . The dress they called a hooker dress and Debbie's elementary School public teachers wanted it and abused her to get it.
@@englishsteve1125 Yes but Moon was innovating much before the 70's so, obviously his output of work will not be as technical. Even though the average age of the members of Blondie is not far off from the guys in The Who, I would say Clem is more of a contemporary to Kenny Jones's generation of drummers, than Keith.
As a kid I grew up with Blondie & loved the band but now in the year 2018 I think they are even better ! We none of us not even the group new the speciality they have. Iconic! all of them. 👄👄👄
It's really a different band now than it was in 1979 (in 2022, it's actually down to two original members as Chris Stein is currently sitting out due to heart issues-wishing him the best, btw). Technically better? Yes, considering the advances in technology plus the length of time they've been performing (almost 25 years since reforming..), but material-wise, it's nowhere close to the great music they made back in the heyday, which, naturally, comprises the bulk of their setlist.
ta chanson est sublime, la tonalité de ta voix est parfaite sur ce morceau, et elle si douce, mélancolique mais si porteuse d'espoir.. Je te redécouvre chaque jour et ce que je découvre est incroyable !
Damn right Detroit 442 is mad then afterwards you realise he's playing like that all the time Clem really likes to give it a good thump and when he was allowed to and Jimmy Destri was writing really ace songs they were like a force of nature, the whole, including Frankie Infanti and Nigel Harrison, was greater than the sum of the parts. The only x3 tracks I remember on the juke box at the pub were "Hello I Love You" & Riders on the Storm" by the Doors, which both blew my teenage mind, & "Die Young,Stay Pretty" by Blondie, which had the same effect. John Densmore is no slouch either & that has to be company of the highest order!

cruiser forlife I never heard that before too and I love Blondie and this song is not of her Greatest Hits Album(what a shame!!!).This Song is so brilliant & the text is pretty good;-)))
This has got to be one of my favorite Blondie songs. Congratulations...a link to this video has been shared on the Facebook group called NarfCat's Earworm of the Day!
I remember seeing this on TV in 1980 i was 9 years old, Blondie was a Huge sensation brining in styles and make up looks for the new decade called the 80's.
Brilliant - that fantastic turbo-ClemBurke-charged Blondie sound and Ms Harry's cool vocals, all packaged in a video that looks weirdly like a Polaroid come to life (which maybe explains why it's so out of synch!).
Debbie, from you, I belive this !! Can't imagine ANYONE ELSE doing this song !! and this from the all-time biggest rationalist / skeptic of them all !!
Once saw Nancy Sinatra perform, in a small club/bar in Long Island. Circa 2005. I was standing right up to the stage, touching it, dead center. Didn't know Clem Burke was going to be her drummer, at least for that performance. Damn he was mean! That cat was it, the perfect drummer for her material. Clem Burke!
Suis tes rêves avec fierté. +Vis ta vie comme tu l'as toujours imaginé. Profite de toutes les opportunités ! Je te souhaite un bel anniversaire !Le 1er juillet 2021.
I think PL is their masterpiece from an overwhelming consensus but what I notice from hardcore fans, like myself, is that we prefer ETTB a little bit more.
