Hi NILE is a BONA FIDE MUSIC GOD but you and I know that!!!!. I'm a crazy manic lover of ROCK since 1967 I'm 62 on 4/7/23...but the first time I heard " LeFreak" by CHIC in 77 along with Donna Summer and the blue print for all Dance Music " I feel love" including today's more upmarket, underground and not " manufactured garbage trashy music" my musical life was and is still complete, take one monster movie "Saturday night Fever".. and that cemented millions and millions of every day folk and their escape from the working week 100%....sure it was partly " a little bit offbeat" but it encapsulated a whole generation of music and dance crazy teenagers into adulthood. Struggling to think of a movie that has had a profound effect on teens ever since.... of course there is one maybe more but " FEVER" still rings true in 2023....its timeless, honest and free that message is I may say is going to be eternal!!!!!, love your comment about Nile he gets better and more funky with age, he's collaborations since the 80's are well basically the bible of dance and similar groovy music and lyrics.... Really?!? I was 14 in 1978 and there she was AND she's still here! Rapture! I have no interest in living to 78 however am soooo happy Debb does. Niles is still in my evolving life soundtrack. He as well never left. Thanks for posting. Great band!

Actually “Rapper’s Delight” would be acknowledged as first “rap” song on the radio but this was first “rap” that was on MTV and first to top charts and also first instance of “rap rock” that became popularized later by other acts.
@@thomasvinh According to Debbie and Chris, "Rapture" was the first rap single with its own original music. Earlier hip hop tracks all used backing tracks of other songs. "Rappers' Delight" used the backing track from Chic's "Good Times", but I think everyone knows that.

Last year Chris came down with afib So basically this tour around he decided to sit it out he wasn't happy about it but it said it was best for his health

rapture..one of the best songs anyway. from all the aged still performing superstars of past eras, she is the most impressive one. Musicians are fantastic as well...yes, go on girl get the crowd going
