watch blood brothers over & over again, con o'neal breaks my heart every time, tell me its not true, I cry every time I watch it, wish there was a DVD,
Warwick Evans as the narrator was something else, honestly. He's on the 1988 and the 1995 cast recordings and for him, it's like those 7 years just didn't matter in terms of his voice. Incredible.
I was SO.lucky to see this cast performance maybe half a dozen times back in the days when I had more money than sense I have seen it many times since including in Llandudno in a month's time this cast were never and will.never be surpassed
I'm seeing it for the first time 3 weeks today! So looking forward to it but I'm sceptical as to if they can beat the performances I watched in the 1989 version on here...Con O'Neill and Robert Locke are currently the definitive Mickey and Eddie for me!
Is this the blood brothers cast how did the CD because I've actually got the CD with Stephanie Lawrence in it and this lady who's playing Mrs Johnstone looks a bit like her. I LOVE BLOOD BROTHERS sooooooooo much!
I had to do this for my drama performance earlier on this year I played Mrs Lyons. Once we read through the script we did a bit of improv to explore the relationships of our characters before we actually fully got into rehearsals. Me and the person who was playing Mrs Johnstone did it as though I was giving her a tour of the house before she started working there. During this we figured out that Mrs Lyons was wary of Mrs Johnstone from the beginning, even before you met Mrs Lyons
I'm sorry but SEAN JONES has to be the best ever MICKEY ( played for over 20 years) and DANNY TAYLOR the best EDDIE worked with them both and are super nice people
I saw a High School production of this at the Florida Thespians State Competition this year. The acting was insane. Songs were meh, but the show was amazing
JoshTheBlueLantern I also saw it from the third row. I loved it. I really want to be in it now or at least see it again! No one is doing anywhere to my knowledge.
Twin 1: let's be blood brothers. Twin 2: ok! Twin 1: *shoots twin 2* Mother: He's your brother! Twin 1: oh. *twin 1 gets shot* Mother: *CRAP* Edit: please don't hate this wasn't meant for people to take seriously. It was just for the people who were probably crying * *me* *
God this is appalling. When one thinks back to the original Liverpool production with its edge and darkness and then sees this dross staged by people who couldn't tell you where Liverpool is on the map - to whom the politics and desperation that informed this piece is a closed book. Nothing has come close to that Liverpool Playhouse Production with the glorious Barbara Dickson, Andrew Schofield and George Costigan.
