My son died 3 months ago we have his daughter with us type 1 these are great ideas. She is 23 & special needs but as I’m watching these videos I make sure she’s listening in tx
Was he jabbed by chance? A ton are die-ing suddenly of all sorts of things, dizeezes are skyrocketing after the u know what. Cansirs are exploding also
This is how I eat. Just makes me feel better, too! Eating like this reversed my type 2 diabetes. No meds now, manage with food only. And some exercise!
@@msarchieve1749True. But it’s managed where I don’t have side affects from diabetes. You can reverse it and live a healthy life. Yes, I’ll always have it and always need to manage it.
Justin truly saved my life with his information and daily blood sugar posts. Since watching his videos, i made a daily meal plan that has helped me lost 20 lbs in 2 months already. I was struggling with my weight for 5 years until i started paying attention to my blood sugar spikes from his videos. I messaged Justin a warm thank you and he responded very kimdly and said "we are im this together". Thank you Justin for everything youve helped us with.
right.. so because you watched your blood sugar spikes you magically cut 1000cals from your diet.. therefore watching blood sugar = weightloss and not caloric deficit.... FACEPALM
Having gotten into a Keto and fasting (IF and prolonged up to 134 hours) lifestyle 10 months ago to heal an autoimmune condition (I'm about 80% there, I'd say), I am looking for hacks to keep my blood sugar from spiking when I break my fasts to keep some of the goodness going without fasting too much (I'm at my very slender goal weight). Your channel is my GO-TO for what I need to know about specific foods! Thank you so much for making yourself the human blood sugar guinea pig!!!
You have to follow Dr Berstein on diabetes or get his book. He Is a type 1 using insulin from age 12, he is now in his late 80 and going strong. Mr Ber is the most qualified person to listen to his book has recipes. You listen to people not knowing there are not diabetics and its a waste of time. I like the people who come out and say first thing, I am not a diabetic, because you know you don't have to waste your time. Been a diabetic t2 for over 20 years, no medication at all, so I am quite proud of myself, since I quit school at 15. Don't even try Dr John McDougall formula saying we are starchovours, because he is dead wrong. He likes to say the Chinese and Japanese eat rice and potatoes, but he does not understand the people in these countries work from morning until bedtime in the sun, so they can afford to be starchovoures. Unlike northamericans we don't have the same lifestyle
Been on keto 4 the last 3 months, and experiencing bigger and bigger energy surges, the last one, I just couldn't stop walking, up really steep hills. The next 36 hours or so, I was craving carbs and junk food. Knowing that sweet potato could be an answer, helps a lot. Thank you 4 your excellent work. Regards from Spain.
@@insulinresistant1Hi, I love all your videos. They're helping me a lot with my type 2 diabetes. I was wondering if you can do a video about oat flower thank you
I started to watch your channel and I am so glad that I did. My tests came up with 6.5 A1C and I am really scared now. Have cut down considerably on sweets and trying to eat more healthy, I feel more energized and less tired, but I still crave fries and some fast foods every now and then but more disciplined. Thank you so much, your videos are extremely helpful..
This is the types of content I really enjoy. A lot of people talking about don't eat this or that. But you actually show proof with your monitor. I have type 2 and this is such great, honest, and reliable source for me. Thank you Sir!
the problem is how the common idiot interprets a blood sugar spike without understanding anything about the human body.. its conformational bias... this guy shows "sugar spikes bad" and people eat it up and continue to suffer on low carb.
Thank you for all your great meal ideas. I just found out that I'm diabetic. It runs in my family but I didn't believe it would hit me because I've always been active and ate pretty well. I begged my doctor to give me a chance to correct my diet. We'll know in two more months if it has worked. So far with your help I have gone from having blood sugar readings of about 126 to my average being 97. We'll see what my A1C is at the end of July. 🤞

Great video! I am surprised to learn the sweet potato didn’t spike your blood sugar. I need to eat more sweet potato. I love it. Also, very happy to see the toast/Egg/avocado breakfast didn’t spike you. I eat that almost every day… I add pesto to mine, but it shouldn’t effect blood sugar.
Justin, Have you ever tested or checked before 2 hours to know (if or) when your blood glucose spiked? My blood glucose spikes between 45 minutes to 1 hour, and by 1 hour and 15 minutes, it's already way down. I've experimented, so I know what "time" after meals my blood glucose will spike, and what's the highest spike. I've also eaten a few meals, and my blood glucose went down instead of even raising! After experimenting for a couple of years, I can now watch a plate of food and know if it'll spike, raise, or don't raise my blood glucose. I recently came across your videos, and I've already subscribed. You're doing a very good job! Take care, and God bless🙏🌹
I believe he said in one of these videos that the CGM in the back of his arm takes a reading every 5 minutes so the graph he shows after 2 hours is of what his blood was doing during that entire stretch... if that makes sense?
Thank you so much for these videos. I’m pre diabetic, don’t want to get on metformin so I’m changing what I eat. I’ve been getting meal ideas from your channel for a week now- I don’t test my blood sugar but I will say in one week my blood pressure is lower and I haven’t needed my daily 3pm nap. I work from home so this was not good! I haven’t weighed myself but eating this way I feel so good! I have more energy and I haven’t craved sweets. I’m wishing I would have hopped on this wagon years ago!! Thank you!!
excellent help, thank you so much, I will combine those balanced meals with exercises to see if my BS will be normal without taking med. God blessed you.
I was wondering where the carbs were, but I was glad to see some in the last meal featured. It goes to show that carbs do NOT have to cause a blood sugar spike. The fiber in the sprouted whole wheat bread plus the nutrients in all the other foods worked to limit the rate of sugar absorption.
@ceasaresquivel4344 Some carbs can have fiber, but not all. Fruit and veggies have fiber. Also, Sugar is a carb but doesn't have fiber. See the difference?
Thank you so much for all the posts you have been sharing with all of us. I have unstable blood sugar. Have been put on Omnipods to monitor my blood sugar. And with some info from your posts I am now set. Amen 🙏🙏
I thought I was the only one who liked sliced tomatoes on the side with my grits and eggs. Well, now it's not grits anymore due to my blood sugar, which is part of why I'm here. Can't eat white bread as a sandwich with eggs anymore, either. I have, however, discovered savory oats with a scrambled egg thrown in. It's good stuff. Wish me luck!
Unfortunately a lot of store-bought rotisserie chickens are overloaded with sodium, being both injected with saline, as well as rubbed with a salty spice mix. So, if you have blood pressure issues in addition to diabetes, better to roast your own chicken at home.
This is wonderful, so informative and practical and not not nearly as boring as constantly checking GI values. I am not diabetic but high blood sugar can trigger my Afib. and although I have followed a low GI diet for years I have to be extra careful now. Thank you.
The doctors don't tell you that. I am on my fourth type of medication that also doesn't work and they keep shaking their head heads saying "Lots of people live with Afib". I am at my wits end I can't hold a job any longer. Good luck. @@margiepoulos1028
Your videos are helping me. I do not have diabetes but trying to avoid it as many family members are. 60 yr old woman. I have found intermittent fasting has also helped me. Thanks.
Just found your channel and I love it. I am free diabetic and trying to get my numbers down to the 5.7 range. Your information is so helpful. Blessings to you 🙏
I'm Type 2 Diabetic and I eat pretty much the same way to keep my A1c at 5.5, but I really like your recipe ideas, I'm going to try some of those, Thanks for the Videos.
Really love your channel. Super information and practical demonstrations of the impact real world foods on our blood sugar. It's been a big help to me in trying to fight off diabetes. I will say the canned tuna you used in your one recipe needs an upgrade:-). Try the brand Natural Catch Tuna. It's wonderful. As they say in their advertisements "Most canned tuna is smelly mush." Theirs definitely isn't. If you like tuna and eat it periodically you should give them a try.
Your vedio is an eye opener ..now I am trying g to include fat protein and fiber along with carbs in our india diet as much as I could... I feel guilty now if I don't add any fat or protein/ fibre with carbs ...really good experiment 👏 👌 you should come in tv to teach others and also nowadays people hate carbs and go with keto ...but you are great in explaining us how to eat..
This is amazing info. I'm admittedly a self taught healthy eating person who for health reasons has been practicing what you preach for about 37 years now. With all the health problems I've had (age 21 i had 22 symptoms, 5 of them could end my life) and lack of help from the western medicine world I opted out of all medical help 20 years ago. I personally don't feel chemical meds are a good idea unless it's the only way to save your life or bring much needed quality of life. With that said I didn't know if I would even see my 50"s. Now I'm most of the way through my 50"s and I'm starting to look younger and healthier than most women my age. So eating live foods and doing it with a purpose (not following the fads) really makes a long term difference. I haven't been to the dr on any level for 20 years now and I'm doing well. I'm not anti dr I just believe it's my job to stay healthy. When I need care I will seek it out. I appreciate the fact based info this man is sharing. I hope it'll inspire quality change for many people. You'll save so much money, time and quality of life vs feeling awful, going to the dr and trying to get help, paying for a lot of medical care and pills. It's a no brainer
I just be recently became a type 2 diabetes found your channel and how do I go about getting a glucose monitor that you have and your meals are amazing thanks I'm going to keep watching I'm 56 yes trying to understand diabetes because I've never had been diagnosed before until now never died it in my life so I'm on a mission to finding videos and ways to reverse my diabetes
Hi Sir, Tq so much for making such practical videos which validates the blood sugar readings after a meal It would help us even better if u can give us the portion Appreciate ur efforts.
Excellent Excellent Excellent. Wonderful video. Man I love your channel. FYI I saw another video on how to debone a roasted chicken. Put the chicken in a large ziplock baggie and mush it with your hands. That separated the meat instantly!
Just came across your channel and subscribed, I am pre diabetic and need to lose weight, your channel is helping, I am trying but a little difficult at times
For a yummy fresh healthy sauce Get a mini food processor add parsley, lemon juice, garlic olive oil and ricotta cheese. For spicy add fresh jalapeños. Dip or pour on what ever.
