Bloodborne Cut Content ►CUT BOSSES AND NPCs! (Part 1) 

Clearly the beast boss started with black fur and would go Super Saiyan in its second phase.

I have a feeling those firey enemies are cut enemies from the Loran chalice(s), the eyes resemble the eyes of the boneash hunter set and the eyes of the Old Watchdog.

The guy with the book looks a lot like mosgus from berserk

This is really good stuff. It confirms some things I've been thinking about Bloodborne, like The Labyrinth exhibiting certain traits of Lost Izalith. The axe of the creeper look's a lot like the Demon's Greataxe of DS3, and the pig monster much resembles a DS3 Ghru.

A lot of these enemies look more like goofy kinda dark souls enemies, honestly glad they weren't in the final game

I'm glad these got cut honestly, all but the gold boss would seem really out of place in the game

Bloodborne was supposed to be a Demon's Souls sequel. But they decided to scrap it and just make it it'S own thing. This is why the models in this video wer strangely out of place. Man... i don't know if i should be happy or not about this... I really like that Bloodborne decided to be its own thing but... man i miss ya Demon's Souls :(

The golden beast is clearly an alive Darkbeast. The demon remembers me of the Ash Bone Head Piece, which has 8 eyes and a fire theme.

The first boss seen simply looks like the starting point for Vicar Amelia before adding the horns, bandages and reduction on fur. I mean it has almost the exact same face and body as Vicar Amelia. The idea behind the golden form was probably for when it was healing because a lot of the healing visuals for the Dark Souls games are yellow/cream/gold. Which are the colours seen when Vicar Amelia heals. Also, this is the only boss out of the ones shown that actually looks like a bloodborne boss.

These models looked pretty dumb for the Bloodborne world... no wonder why they got cut from the final release

What's interesting about the low-detail models is that they look like low LOD model variants (switched-out models as seen from far away). My guess is that they removed the original model files, but didn't get rid of those variants.

Wanted to point out that the golden beast shown could relate to Loran as there already are Loran Darkbeast (chalice version or darkbeast Paarl) and a Loran Silverbest. Maybe at one point it was a Loran Goldenbeast. Just a thought

The scimitar skeleton had a really cool moveset that went unused.

The human model looks like he is wearing something very similar to one of the Cainhurst paintings, the person looks different, but the clothes are spot on!

Getting serious Zinogre vibes from that first monster. That extremely long fur is usually reserved for the electrified beasts. It's possible that it was cut for that reason, since they didn't want the boss to seem like a copy paste from a different game.

The guys from 6:45 looks like monuments near Blood-Starved Beast in Old Yharnam. There is two sculptures near him looks like that guys.

really some odd stuff, I feel like most of these belong in dark souls 3 lol, however I could see how it could work if most of them were in chalice dungeons. That boss could have been cool in the dungeons as well!

1:32 Isn't that the lightning clad boss from one of the early trailers? When the light(n)ing engine still was glorious, and the whole area/room was shimmering with the flashes. I've had hard time in trying to find that clip again.

just gonna say, for the 'Creeper' enemy, it seems possible that maybe it had something to do with the Chalice dungeons, since the pthumerians demonstrate some sort of fire magic, but that's just sort of a guess on my part

Yessssssss I missed this

It's very obvious that the black/gold fur beast was cut content from a crossover expansion with DBZ. It's what happens when Saiyans catch the beast plague. It was planned to be a 3 stage boss fight involving a lot of beam attacks and the player would have to dodge one of these to trick the boss into blowing up the blood moon in order to return it to a standard hunter v. hunter fight.

TBH, I think the rat enemy had that ophiocordyceps growing out of it and could have possibly been a cut enemy from the Chalices. Have you looked into all Chalice files for more content? I'm positive there could be some interest stuff buried in the disc.

That second model made me think that they had plans for you to be able to travel to Hell at one point? I think that would be cool. Maybe Hell was gonna be the source of the nightmare or at least it was found in Hell

The scholar looks like a normal Uncle Ruckus.

I think the first beast (the one with golden fur) might have just been a normal enemy with a golden variation like the chaos beetles in dark souls 1 with their red eyes variant.

Hmm maybe that Golden yellow beast might be a proto dark beast paarl considering Henryk's set was made to hunt beast with Bolt effects and its golden yellow colour. Who knows! ^^

That golden beast screams "Vicar Amelia" to me, first pass at her concept maybe.

The one at 6:40 looks like the statue of a creature in the bloodstarved beasts boss room.

That first beast was majestic af. I want that thing for my steed. And I want it to replace the Blood Starved Beast. Maybe have the black-fur model be at the start of the fight, like it's covered in soot and ashes, and then have it transition into the golden-fur model in the second half, maybe after a self-buff? Would have been better than sir slimy-Mc-screamer, AKA Baron von Blood-eagled-beast. That... Balrog was probably a chalice dungeon boss with two phases, the first phase w/ two heads, and the second phase where one gets lobbed off. That creature is more terrifying than anything else WHY IS HIS HEAD SO FEKING DISSPROPORTINATE AND WHERE ARE HIS LEGS WHY ARE THEY SO SHORT?!?!?! WHY ARE HIS EYES SO BIG I DON'T UNDERSTAND?!?!? Also how dare you compare the majesticness that is Laurence the First Vicar to that feking gremlin. The skeleton was probably either ment to go in Cainhurst or a chalice dungeon. My money's on Cainhurst. HE DOSEN'T EVEN GO HERE. Seriously, who let the cartoon pigbeast in? Anyways, this thing was probably ment to go In Henwick Charnel Lane, maybe they were supposed to replace the despicable fatties prowling around near the witch. Or they may have been for the nightmare frontier? idk. I dont like them. Also I have my doubts about the boss you hinted at, (I mean, you did *want* a fire level) Mainly because there are already too many blow-your-mind fantastic bosses in the game, Gascoigne, Amelia, Logarius, Rom, Micolash, Gherman, Maria, Moon Presence, The Shadows Of Yharnam, Mergo's Wetnurse, Ludwig, The orphan of Kos, The wonderful Laurence the First Vicar, and like, so many more! All the bosses are memorable in their own way, except for the living faliures, and the witch of Henwick. Because they're both cheap spell-spammers. But yeah, I doubt anything that was *cut* *from* *the* *game* will top the amazingness we already have.

Glad to hear id-daemon is friendly...... I downloaded his extraction tools and have been trying so hard to get Bloodborne's files off the console for myself but without any luck...... It has to be my style of asking, or something; I'm not used to the datamining community being friendly----rather, icy----and I've been stalking it since 2011 because I unfold models for Pepakura like an addict. (30 weapons just from Dark Souls. :3 ) Maybe I'll introduce myself and ask id-daemon for the gamefiles after all....

the skeleton thing looks like a skelatal hunter who probably used a scimitar, i guess hunter because the cape has a collar like a hunters coat

The last beast with the antlers kinda looks like the trolls from Berserk but with smaller snouts and ofcourse with antlers.

The demon creature with horns and black fur looks like a younger version of the asylum demon.

I bet I know who the gold and black furred beasts were (assuming they were connected to anything in the final game at all). If you're correct about beast fur color matching human hair color, like Amelia, then the only characters with golden hair are Arianna and Alfred. Interestingly, Arianna's rival Adella has jet black hair. Also, it seems only people with close connections to the Blood turn into the giant beasts (Amelia, Ludwig, Laurence, whichever cleric became the cleric beast). Arianna and Adella both have special blood and a close connection to it, so close that Arianna gives birth to Kin. I bet that in an early iteration, one or both of these characters would transform into the cut content beast, depending on how you progress their storylines. Also, why do all the blood saints have similar names? Arianna, Adella, Adeline, and possibly Amelia. Iosefka is the odd one out.

Thanks for this video, this is great unique content. I think that last beast was supposed to be a humanoid rat though, not a pig. Besides just the fur, it has more rat like features than pig like, for example paws with fingers and toes instead of hooves, the long slender nose and sharp fangs are more ratlike, and it holds his nose high in the air like its sniffing, just like the rats in bloodborne. Also it has a long straight tail like a rat, not a short curly one like all the boars in the game.

The final monster, the pigrat with the axe does NOT have horns. Those are fungal growths. Look up "deep sea antenna" and you can see something similar.

If the gold-furred beast's fur color is indicative of the human character's hair color, then I wonder if the gold-furred beast is a beast form of Alfred. He has blonde hair, right?

To be fair, if that two headed thing appeared as an optional boss in the burning old yharnam I wouldn't complain.

Berserk references 4:29 Looks a whole lot like Mozgus and 6:10 is very similar to the trolls. Not a surprise considering how many references to Berserk are in all Miyazaki games

I recall a part of a teaser trailer when Bloodborne was officially announced that had an entire segment of a burning building or city with the player character carefully walking over a rafter that looked like it was on the verge of collapsing into the inferno. Likely a lot of these cut models were for a "fire zone" that was imagined initially but cut from the game, perhaps because they didn't want Bloodborne to be too similar to Dark Souls. The gold-furred beast could have been the boss of the fire area, or perhaps an early concept model for Amelia that was done away with, or even the Darkbeast Parl. The cardinal looking guy looks extremely out of place given the color scheme and theme for the game as a whole. Again, I figure this was either early concept for someone else already in the game whose design and model was redone. The last guy looks like a Chalice dungeon boss.

Since you can see and rip the models, do you think you could do so for all of them for Wikis and what not to give them the proper model for reference material, as well as their proper names? I get that is a lot to just ask of you, but I think it would be beneficial to the BloodBorne community.

i think they are very early version models of the game creatures.. since bloodborne is made right after dark souls 1 and during the making of dark souls 2.. developers still have some of the old ideas carried along when they were designing these creatures... the concept of demons + fire is a dark souls trait.. i wouldn't be surprised if there is more demon looking creatures with fire textures.. fromsoft later got a better art direction for bosses and cut these from the game..

The creeper looks like a demon in Dark Souls 3. Or maybe something that would've been in Lost Izalith if FromSoft had time to complete it. Also, that skeleton dude looks like the revenants from DOOM. In any case, I find Bloodborne's enemy roster to be perfect the way it is.
