Jimmy Pop was a genius. He made some absolutely great sounding music, was a very strong songwriter, and was able to mix it with absolutely hilarious lyrics.
robert paulsen I wouldn’t say he’s among the best, but he’s at least an honorable mention. It’s messed up he’s never even brought up. Oh and “his name was Robert paulsen!”
sorry, Jimmy is an original song writer.. better than most actually on how clever he is, but as a rapper he's actually really bad. 1 syllable rhyme schemes are nothing to brag about. that being said the latest generation of rappers usually rhyme 2 syllable schemes and repeat it over and over and over which isn't hard either. Saying he's better than 95% of modern rappers is a lie and clearly you don't listen much.
Awesome, one of my favorite Bloodhound Gang songs. Songs like these prove that in terms of songwriting, Jimmy Pop is nothing less than an underrated, underappreciated genius. Who else could invent such brillant lines as "One part the Fuhrer, One part the Pope", "I'm hard to come by like a straight guy working at Starbucks" or "Like my scrotum here it is in a nutshell"? Not to mention the fact that songs like this also prove that he is one of the best white rappers of all time.
@@ihateworkingwhereido Jimmy Pop is definitely up there with Eminem. The only big differences is that JP hasn't taken on as many celebrities and can't rap 6 words a second.
@@ihateworkingwhereido Eminem's first album was very good and better than Jimmy Pop. His first album was by far his best flow when he was less nasally and he had way more rhythm.
This should be the Anthem of the Late 90's. Bloodhound Gang don't get the credit they deserve. The were doing a style that everyone is Copying today. They need some Respect.
@@justinlast2lastharder749 Only kids from the '90s know who she is, everybody knows who the pope and the Fuhrer are. But good for you that she made such an impression, I too am a '90s kid.
Jimmy..............you and the Bloodhound Gang need to make a comeback!!!!! Trust me, music SUCKS nowadays.......................we NEED YOU GUYS BACK!!!!!!!
Bloodhound Gang (and especially Jimmy Pop) were an underrated group. I think the fact that they insisted on doing songs with all the maturity of a 12 year-old is probably what held them back from being more successful, but I don't care because my inner 12 year-old still finds most of their stuff hilarious.
I was 13 years old when "Hooray for Boobies" came out. I feel I was the perfect age and the target audience for this band. Absolutely love them and they bring back a lot of memories.
I'm grateful to have gone through puberty during Carmen Electra's prime. Damn, what a piece. Also, why the fuck isn't BHG still making music? You guys are just what 2020 needs to tell everyone to chill the fuck out!
oh man...the nostalgia...i listened to horaay for boobies and one fierce beer coaster so much as a kid...south park, blood hound gang, jackass...all that shit was so crazy
Two things i've always noticed about jimmy 1 he could stomp anyone who stepped to him in a rap battle/lyric battle. 2 he has WAY too much fun in these music videos. 😂
Boom is definitely my favourite song from One Fierce Beer Coaster but this one's a VERY close second👌🏻. Excellent album to have cranked up while cruising around in the Typhoon
Sound quality seems kind of oddly low. This is legitimately amazing though, i'd never heard of these guys before finding them on youtube tonight. This is great.
sillydillydokieo So you think that a digital recording is superior to say something mixed on an Analogue Neve console? Well I'd think 99% of the world's greatest bands would disagree. Also define 'good'? I call good, depth, separation of instuments, measured bass & drums, something that digital recording doesn't give you. HOW somethings recorded makes a difference hence bands pick certain studios for certain reasons or rather they used to. Now Its mostly done on computers & it does kill the sound. Why do you think Dave Grohl saved the mixing desk from Sound City?
