Have always enjoyed ur videos, I’m a former Florida building contractor and currently an independent inspector. Our older water lines from street to house were usually orangeburg pipes, which tree roots love to penetrate. Now PVC pipes are used, which are buried 2’ deep. One of my many reasons watching ur videos, is to see various products and methods used. U videos are excellent, please don’t feel the need to apologize for anything .
Anyone can pull plastic waterservice, pulling galvanized is the real beast. We call that coupling a dayton and typically we only expect to see it near the curb stop connection because that's what the city here has authority over and they typically use it to connect back to the homeowners water service after they make a repair to their curb stop at the street. Running into one in the yard especially when you're trying to make a pull must really suck.
Hey, great video. We’ve never been successful pulling galvanized with the few different methods we use. So great job! I use the local Georgia Underground Co. Hardware and also the Pow R Mole system and hardware. You mind telling me where I can get a splitter head that you have. My company is Zippy Plumber in Atlanta. We have a couple videos on how we do it. Obviously are water services are a lot more shallow. “Fastest Water Line Pull” is another one we did when we started to be more successful after 10 years of trying. Lol
Yep, I've seen that video and a few others of yours. This is made by WheelerRex, it's their PipeSlice II (part number 8601 but you need to buy the cable with it), i have both of their heads, the large one will slice open 2" and this head works good up to 1". Something tells me you are familiar with WheelerRex stuff
