Building the bottom end of the shortblock for the blown SBC 406. Also finding TDC (finding top dead center), check bearing clearance using plastigage, degreeing the cam at .050 along with installing spiral locks (spirolox) on the Diamond pistons and Callies Ultra Rods. This is the Callies Magnum crank with BBC snout, Custom Diamond pistons, Callies Ultra I Beam 6" rods with heavy duty thick wall pins. All of this in a Dart SHP block. Getting ready for the 8-71 Roots blower!!
This new build is a Blown SBC Gen1 Boosted - SBC 406 Dart SHP block with Callies crank, Callies rods, and custom Diamond Pistons with a 8-71 Roots Blower from The Blower Shop with helical rotors, ATI turbo 400 and 4-link coilover Ford 9 inch. Planning on starting with 22 lbs of boost on methanol with a FuelTech ECU and dual wideband O2 sensors. This is a 48 Ford Coupe powered by chevy!
