There's a sound. It's a nostalgic, sentimental, moody, and dreamlike sound of the past. Of childhood. I've never heard this song before but this is that sound.
The past of music seems like an unlimited universe...I just scratched the surface with Japan recently...Casiopea, Hiroshi Sato, Makoto Matsushita, Cosmos etc...Just a few to name.
I'm not sure how I only discovered this in early 2020, but it's never left my head since then and I have to get back to it once every two weeks. What a fucking beauty of a tune.
I found this tune a couple years ago and us to listen to it when doing long runs, it was great in the sunshine. But I’m keen music collector and can’t seem to find fucking anything about this band/group. Anyone got any decent websites, articles etc to read. Or just anything info on “Blue Gas”. I love this so much. This song is like a hug by a white noise cloud. I play it when I'm miserable at my office desk and float away in this melancholy that makes me so happy. And then I ask myself..is this song even real? And then I go on discos and it's $200+ and there I know it's real. so close but yet unreachable...like the shadows from nowhere ............
Fully beautiful record. Lucky enough to own a copy on wax. Those synth stabs flip the whole mood of the song and the mood of the music sits perfectly with the lyrics.
I would say my English is pretty decent but I've never once heard or seen "Mellifluous" before so I looked it up. Thanks for teaching me a new word, kind stranger :)

I agree thats it's really disheartening and annoying to see good music associated with some shitty netflix flavor-of-the-week and also that its shitty to say "the uncool ones" and judge people individually who are probably most often young teenagers Im assuming. But it is important to care about culture ... if you do there is lots of kinds of free community and educational projects you can organize to engage people rather than complaining. 👍
