Oh man, this brings me back, Blue Rodeo has so many great songs like Lost Together, Diamond Mine, 5 Days in May, and many more.

Blue Rodeo and The Tragically Hip are Canadas gift to the world. It's a shame they don't get recognized internationally, but youtube channels like yours are helping to change that. Blue Rodeos catalogue is incredibly deep with a bunch of different styles mixed in over the years. The 2 front men are Jim Cuddy (skinny guy) and Greg Keelor (Beard lol). I've lived in Canada my whole life and blue rodeo is a staple on every radio station.

Funny thing about this song, which was released in 1993: it was supposed to be the one that would break Blue Rodeo into the US market. There's even a video of them playing it on the Conan O'Brien Show. For whatever reason, it didn't catch on (in the same way that Canadian Dan Ackroyd's and Canadian Lorne Michael's attempt to break the Hip in the US with two performances on Saturday Night Live didn't succeed either). In both cases, the bands essentially retreated to their home market, although - thanks to proximity to Canadian radio stations - they did have decent (mostly college) fanbases in the northern border states. That choice allowed them to stay true to their Canadian roots, writing songs for and about Canadians and the Canadian experience (just like folk rock legend Gordon Lightfoot choose to do, his US mega-success notwithstanding).

These guys have been around forever. I saw them in the early nineties and again in 2016. Great shows. Great easy listening vibe

Blue Rodeo had several and many hits within Canada but didn’t really try that hard to tap to the US market. Apparently Meryl Streep really liked them.

PS - The original arrangement of this song had a slide guitar where you heard the telecaster in this version.

Anyway, about that last song you couldn't find online, Rory, I sent you an email with a link I knew would work to a different song, because I recorded and posted it myself earlier this year. In my note, I mentioned that the song I was recommending for reaction started at about the 7:15 mark. The first song on the recording is this one, Hasn't Hit Me Yet. I think you really, really should listen to it again in this live concert format - because Hasn't Hit Me Yet is usually one of their concert closers (as it was in my recording). If you watch it, you will be rewarded with emotionally moving crowd participation, which is definitely worth 7 extra minutes of your time before hearing the encore I recommended.

This gives me kind of a Green era REM vibe. Nice!
