No you do not add salt but one time. And when you open it I will test your water is needed. And then add two gallons of Bleach

What if your pool has been almost empty would you add salt again? If so what kind?

@@Melissa-po9npyes you’d add 80 pounds of pool softener salt, 4 gallons of bleach and 2 gallons of stain out if you have a blue world pool

I apologize for just now getting to this. I would say balance your water is needed. Add bleach and vacuum. I have heard of people putting magic erasers in their skimmer

You do not have to put chlorine in this pool this pool takes bleach and the ionizer is what helps keep this pool clean

A gallon a week correct?

At least 1 a week. Just depends on what your chlorine level is at when you test it

What it comes down to balancing or water I'm definitely not a pool chemist but I would say as long as your pH is right your alkalinity is right and you're free chlorine is right your water should be pretty clear.

Yes if you leave your filtration system on filter mode you can turn your phone on and off without any fear of losing water

8 to 10 hours a day during the season

I would say a couple of hours

After you have the salt and the bleach you should leave it running on filter for 2 days straight

April I am so sorry for the delay I've been so busy with the swimming pool installs but the bags of salt are 40 lb bags and we put two bags in

You only had the salt all your initial start up. But yes pool softener salt

I wasn't aware we had to add salt every year at opening either . This is our first time opening it after it was installed last year... so do we add salt every summer ?

Yes you will add salt only at the start up of your pool

Well I don't know how to tell you this but he's a salesman if you have a blue world pool you will and I repeat you will add bleach to your pool and it will take salt.

You are so helpful! I subscribed! I just got mine installed last Friday. Filled oil Saturday and added the salt, bleach and stain out as instructed. Ultra Blue on #3 setting. Been raining off and on this week, I'm in FL. Went to pool store with a sample today and had to add miratic acid and turn Ultra Blue up to 4 for now. All this chemical stuff is confusing bc their manual says to add shock and other things depending on the levels. The Ultra Blue booklet says to add other things for the same issue. I was only told bleach each week after set up. I feel duped. Also my pool water is already too warm to swim in. Now I have spent all this money and can't even enjoy it. 😢😢😢 On top of all the chemical confusion. I'm starting to understand the mechanics though.
