The weather was beautiful and balmy, and the jam proceeded with an emphasis on familiar tunes, and a redo of a new song from last week. The video is short by comparison to others due to my late arrival.
As you watch THE OCOEE JAM, keep in mind this is an OPEN jam. It is not a rehearsed performance. Each picker, in turn, chooses a tune, and he or she sings or plays it accompanied by all the other pickers. Everyone gets a chance no matter the skill level. The Jam meets every Friday evening at 6:30 in the parking lot on the Southeast corner of the intersection of Maguire Rd. and West Colonial Dr. (State Rd. 50), Ocoee, Florida 34761.
