CHECK OUT THE GEMS IN THIS BLUEGRASS TREASURE CHEST! (720p-HD)
One of the rarest is the Gibson mandolin, ca. 1939 - ’41 carefully re-voiced to an F12 by master luthier, Johnny Adams for a client friend. Savor the resonance of this exceptional instrument played by Johnny in the video before it is returned to its proud owner in NC.
The other treasures speak for themselves in the tunes and talents of the fine pickers of this evening’s Jam.
Of special note is a visitor to the Jam, Brad Kline, from Alaska. Brad performed a Johnny Cash cover tune as a tribute to his Dad, Charlie Kline, who he was visiting in Orlando.
As you watch THE OCOEE JAM, keep in mind this is an OPEN jam. It is not a rehearsed performance. Each picker, in turn, chooses a tune, and he or she sings or plays it accompanied by all the other pickers. Everyone gets a turn no matter the skill level. The Jam meets every Friday evening at 6:30 in the parking lot on the Southeast corner of the intersection of Maguire Rd. and West Colonial Dr. (State Rd. 50), Ocoee, Florida 34761. Look for the shopping center with the Twistee Treat Ice Cream Cone at 1500 Maguire Rd., Ocoee, Florida 34761.
THANK YOU FOR WATCHING.

Oooh! Send us some...we're freezing in Central Florida. Icicles are forming on the fiddle strings. Should warm in time for a local festival this weekend. Nice of you to keep in touch.

The weather is so fickle. We are getting the tail end today. Go to go out and clean the trash out of the pool. Shiver me timbers! Expecting the 20's northwest of Orlando tonight. Thanks for watching and posting your thoughts, George.

Hi Jeff, Jack monitors the site, and I'm sure he will appreciate your well wishes. We can always count on Johnny for a heartfelt song. Carmen is one of my favorites. Always great to hear from you, Jeff.

Got to say this is one hell of a Bluegrass Jam, I enjoyed it from start to end , and the Banjo player burns that five strings up, , and the dobro player is fine also , he reminds me of Uncle Josh of the Foggy Mountain Boys. GREAT JOB guys, and the video is the best. Once again thanks .

Cody, the fine young banjo picker, doesn't have a driver's license yet. He's fortunate to catch a ride with another picker. The dobro man, Patrick, is a retired teacher and high school classmate (class of '61). Sure appreciate your comments.

Great jam... We too are just waiting for the snow to stop... 13th of March 1993 we had FOUR feet on the hill... Keep up the great work... I'm missing Jack Lewis... hope he is ok... Don

Hi Don, Yes, it's always a joy to see Jack show up. He was quite ill with the flu a while back, and he's better now. Meanwhile, some good banjo pickers have dropped by and added their talents to the jam, and I theorize that Jack took the opportunity to give the new guys a chance to have some fun. Thanks much for the post.
