Finally got around to picking up the game myself. Its a hell of an exprience I wish Id see more of but considering it only has 2 of 5 episodes out and hasnt been updated in nearly 4 years. I can only hope someone pulls an indie blessing and brings this gem back from the depth of obscurity it fell into.
@@friktogurg9242 It really does. But sometimes things like this happen. Plenty of indie games that had a lot of heart put into them but never had a proper followup. Doesn't mean we cant appreciate what there is.
I've been eyeing this game for a while, but never bought it due to only having the first 2 episodes released. I fucking hate the episodic model, just release the whole goddamn game in one package.
This kills me that it was cancelled half way through. I won’t get over this. Shitty games get sequel after sequel, and this diamond in the rough, gets canned half way through?! That’s the danger of episodic games, I guess...
When he is on he is really funny but when he did a video apologizing for off color jokes he made in his FF8 review (among others) he lost a little something.
Wouldn't it be fair to say that the Spoony Experiment is more or less over? I know he still makes videos and streams occasionally, but with the current pace of release it feels more like him being a critic is relegated to being a hobby.

GrantH Definitely. Probably one of his best too, but never gets any love. Pretty much never plays a single song from that album at any concert these day despite being perfection^2.
From what I've heard, he plays Freedom once in a blue moon, but that's about it. A lot of his more underrated albums go unrepresented in the setlist sadly.
I worked at a game dev studio. I made and they still make HO games. The thing is we killed it, with our games for grannies and now was the time for us to make a stand alone game as a studio. A noir detective HOG, no limits, all teams make a episode for the game. 3 months of failure, backtracking and unpaid overtime crowned with a mediocre granny HoG that is a little grimy. DAmn those feedbacks, and the impotence of our chiefs.

Clive Barkers Jericho is a great game not even close to what people say it is they are all fools. Its a fun game with a character that suits everyone's style of playing a fps, the powers are fun to use, yes the game is linear, but linearity doesnt mean a game is bad, its more fun and engaging than most fpses out there.
Razor... how could you review this game in august and not even mention the tiny fact that the devs abandoned the game after episode 2 (out of 5) even though they have been selling a "complete season" version. They closed the website and apparently closed shop. The episodes end on cliff hangers and the game will not be finished. That feels kinda relevant.
***** Yeah but a tweet in september saying "it's all good" aside the last official update message on steam was may 11. Where they promised news of epi 3 within weeks. I dunno if that makes the rumor of their demise exactly a lie. Also... it's not 5 bucks for a game it's 5 bucks for the first episode of a game that isn't finished and by the looks of it might not be, ever.

Razör, have you ever heard of the Swedish metal bans called Sportlov? I'ts a parody of black/death metal, but you would unfortunately have to translate the lyrics, however it would be worth it because of how clever and funny they are written. Only a 6 track EP and one studio album, and a brand new reuion EP though so i highly recommend it a listen
I know that black and white aesthetics are the calling card of the film noir genre, but is there a specific name for only including a specific color like red into the mix? Or is that just another typical artistic feature of the same genre.

Can't say that I'd like this game. The issue with the investigation mechanics I personally find game breaking. I'll wait for the rest of the games episodes to be released and I'll at least give it a chance. Till then, I now for some reason have a huge nostalgia woody to play games like "Darkseed" and "Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis" and other point and clicks again. Regardless of my opinion on the game in question though. Keep the good work. The video was entertaining as always.
