Blues singer Ches Collins (Bobby Short) reveals the story behind his song, which uncovers the murder of Wilson Sweet's (Geoffrey Thorne) grandfather. Ches takes Wilson to his grandfather's grave.

Wilson Sweet is curious about the murder of his grandfather over forty years ago and finds the incident may not have happened like he was told. An old bluesman in town has written a song about the murder and brings light to what really happened.

I watch this show everyday on Rouku, episode after episode, love myself some Bubba, chief Gillespie held that show today with academy award acting, Althea held her on in some of the most dramatic scenes on this show, Tibbs had the most I conic facial expressions that has me smiling, great show awesome actor's, and actresses it's policing at its best..❤❤❤❤

I was born in Clarsdale Miss... My father use to work on boats up and down the Miss River, when he was between jobs we would grunt worms in the forest, we were told by several people his age that to be careful you will never know when you might come up on a body buried in the woods

Does anyone know the name of the actor who played "Louis Sweet" in "Sweet Sweet Blues" ? I find it odd that he's uncredited. Even a lol nameless actress listed as "The Waitress" is credited/named, but not the man whom the entire episode is centered around. Truly would appreciate your help on this.

Probably somewhere in Alabama (Deputy Nathan Bedford changed the tag out from Mississippi to Alabama when Sweet's grandfather was executed right there on that dirt road).

How ironic that they cast singer/musician Bobby Short in this role considering his real life relationship with white socialite Gloria Vanderbilt! And her son, Anderson Cooper evidently didn't approve! Refuses to admit or acknowledge this ever happened, hahaha! 🔥♥️🤩😍🎇🎉✨🎊😘♥️

There is another episode that he’s in that has the same plot that you just mentioned. In the episode it’s a wealthy elderly white woman and her nephews disapprove of their friendship.

@@elijahallison4347 So glad you mentioned that, I was thinking the same. It was one of Lonnie's relatives whom she absolutely adored, and he had no problem with Chass. I love this TV show.
