Hi Jerome Brua i think the instructions call for 14 min but suggest. That you use a battery charger while doing this. thanks for watching i appreciate you
Marty! Great video. I currently own a 2013 BMW X5 35i. Fan stuck on high, light came on engine temp high followed by engine overheating. I ordered water pump and thermostat from FCP Euro. Curious if this will work for the 35i? Also, if my water pump is working, is it worth just swapping out the thermostat to save 400 dollars?
having the same issue. I'm assuming if the water pump makes the winding sound that means it's getting power but just unable to push the water. if it doesn't make any sound it should be fuse, wire related and not the water pump?
Hi Georgekasungami it seems like it’s the pump sometimes the fan will still run slow but if you see that the pump is not working it’s probably the pump. Thanks for watching. I really appreciate you.
Hi ThePlayerlane the customer bought it at AutoZone. He said it was expensive. I believe he said 700 not sure the price but it came from AutoZone. Thank you for watching. I really appreciate it.
I replaced my electric water pump and it still won’t pump coolant during the test or while running. Is there a fuse that controls it if so where is it?
Hi markzeigler I believe some do have one if it does look in the glove compartment and the fuse box there you just have to look through them and see which ones the water pump. Maybe fuse number 35.??? thank you for watching. I really appreciate you.
My 2011 535 n55 is overheating and fan comes on more than normal when driving. I changed the oil filter housing gaskets. Ran the pump to bleed the system. It came on and circulating the water. But fan still comes on and overheats. Took to shop to have coolant flush and they said its the water pump, so they didnt flush coolant. But im like, you sure its not the oil thats mixed in coolant system? Because when the screen says engine overheated, the gauge in dash is not saying overheated. Can anyone help?
Hi Indigenous Kings sorry to hear that if you have a check engine light try reseting it And if that don’t work try the thermostat if all fails maybe your water pump is starting to go out ?
Hi Antwon Ayala customer got it at AutoZone for $700 but you can get it cheaper lifetime warranty FCP Euro just look up the correct one . Hi ILir Stroka that’s ok just try again and follow the procedure. You must have a leak somewhere if you’re losing coolant, check your hoses and your thermostat.
