These exhaust systems are just getting more daft by the minute. To make matters worse these sensors come with the modules. Then the customer takes out their frustration with us mechanics. Great video btw.
Hi Dan, that is exactly what is happening. Cars are getting ever more complex but owners mindset has stayed on the older simpler models. This leads them to believe that garages are giving them the runaround, but this kind of weird stuff is happening to us everyday & it is very hard to understand or explain 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
OMG Dan, you have little Irish lad smiling from cheek to cheek. I can believe such a fantastic influence for me watched one of my videos 😀😀 Apologies for being a bit slow to respond, I have fallen behind on my comments. DDTSB’s / Autofrontal is a fantastic forum and invaluable in the automotive repair business. Still smiling 😊 😊
Great video just a bit to quick english for me ( i am belgium) but thank you a lot for all these explanations ! BTW which sensor reference did u fit at the end please ? thank you
Just had the same problems apparently on a certain year those particle sensors are modified and you had to update the vehicle software and then the can coms codes clear. 👍
I could be wrong but I really don’t have much faith in additives. Generally when I hit problems and try additives to resolve the issues, I really never ever have success 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
Great video mate had this exact fault happen on my 2020 3 series and having a bit of a chew getting them to replace under warranty, couple of questions, would this affect the regeneration of the dpf as I'm still using it and also were would i find the afternarket part? Cheers 👍🏻
Interesting video. I have the 2BB100 code come up, cleared it and it went away for 2,000miles first time, cleared again and lasted 500miles, now have 2BB100 and 2BB400 - looks like its this sensor (330d G20).. Will be investigating..
Hello, have a light on in my 2020 520d 2P4C6 saying it’s a particulate matter sensor temperature circuit, going to replace the particulate sensor, hope it doesn’t throw more codes up ://
DDTSB is a fantastic resource when working on newer cars or just if you want someone to confirm your diagnosis. If there is a bulletin on it, somewhat like a dealer keeping the part you want in stock 😉👍👍👍👍
Hey man, I recently did a engine bay wash and directly after the engine light came on and the exact same code as you have (P24C6). Do you think it is the sensor or did I mess something up in the engine bay?
@@kennedysgarage3281 Yeah, hopefully it’s just a coincidence.. I only drive 15 km to work and back so it does make sense that the dpf is not doing to well.
I have the below codes on BMW X1 SDRIVE18D SE AUTO 2019 and I have been doing 1-2 miles/day for last 2 months with odd 30-40 miles trip in 10 days . Could it be because of this . 2BA100 - Particulate sensor, diagnosis response: Temperature measurement, electrical fault 2BBA00 diesel particle sensor, plausibility: meander temperature not plausible to the remaining exhaust gas temperature signals
Tooling about the last short while in a zero-sensors, sod all electrics, power nothing, not one silicon chip involved Renault 9 saloon from back before emissions were invented. It has a choke lever, lol.. Despite only being a 1.4, with no emissions crap bolted on, its more economical, more powerful & a damn sight faster than modern 1.4's.. It's also supremely comfy like French stuff used be. We went backwards on that front as a species. That's my conclusion this week. I have to cock about with modern electronic muck all day every day at work - hopping into a car that has windey windows, a metal key & no bings, bongs or sensors, of an evening, is my antidote.
Weren’t the older yokes great, when a fella asked you to have a quick look 👀 you could & know what was wrong in minutes. That’s all gone now. I’m actually trying to remind what a Renault 9 looks like 🤔🤔 my brother drove and 18 for years. I also had some time in a Renault 20 when I was a young lad 😬😬😬
Hi. My G30 had an error on DPF 2BB400 - Diesel particulate sensor measuring electrode - faulty. I think error appears only when regenerating. The car works fine. But check engine appears every 300-400km .I delete it with ISTA. Is the same sensor ? Ista show me that is the sensor OE 13628582026. Thank you.
