Yeah my friend has an Audi A4 with the 3.0 V6 TDI with a remap and exhaust upgrade, it is hands down the best diesel I have ever heard it sounds nothing like a diese,l in fact even car enthusiasts are shocked when they learn it is diesel and not a S4 or RS4, it sounds that good! Plus its rapid quattro and over 300 bhp
This is a old video by the way, it’s 430bhp and nearly 700ftlb torque now, check out some of my newer videos, I need to upload another recent one really of me giving it some
i live in california and they would f*ck you over and give you a $1,000 fine if they find out your running no DPF. but it is easy to get around if you know a smogger who can pass you
This sounds so good, all the other vids of 330d's that have been decatted have turbo whistle and don't sound as deep, how is yours different from anyone elses? I'm currious as I'm considering getting an exhaust made up for my own e90 LCI 330d
dpf delete. Egr delete. Stage 2 software. Straight pipe. Not sure if he still has the standard downpipe or a custom one. I will be doing the same in the near future, except stage 1 tune instead of 2. Bmw e90 330d pretty lci auto
I was very very surprised when I heard it for the first time, even my local garage I go to who fitted the parts for me was shocked. It’s definitely different sound but good one.
I will do when she back up and running, she is currently sleeping on my drive way with a broken crank shaft pulley. Should hope to have it fix by the summer
Dougiestyle why would you want more black smoke? It looks stupid, people who you drive past will think your a idiot and your get pulled over, it would never pass the mot either, mine lets out a little as I use a low ash oil plus theses sorts of bmw don’t let out a lot of smoke any as it’s not a old roppy vw or seat
Yeah thats what im saying, i DONT want black smoke coming out. Got a 320d that i want to stage 2 and put downpipe on but the most ive seen have black smoke coming out the exhaust, was wondering how i can make it NOT spew out smoke. Ive heard i just need a proper mapping.
Dougiestyle sorry pal I thought you meant you wanted smoke, well mine doesn’t pour out black smoke it just does a little puff when I change gear at full throttle, I believe the low ash oil helps and yes having a proper map will help too as you can tell the mapper I don’t want shit loads of smoke pouring out
Sounds oddly satisfying.... Like a truck until you open it up haha, what exactly has been done to this other than ECU tune and the exhaust? Would be pretty keen to nab a e92 in good condition and slap a quad exhaust setup on it
It’s never smelled inside, specially if you change your cabin filter and the outside it might smell but I don’t really stand directly behind my car when it running
@@Lemansbluee90 Thanks for the answer man! Im mostly asking because of the kid if it would smell alot inside it would be bad for her. I got the 330D n57 e91. how has it been with reliability?
@@Mason-t1q the reliability been fine mate, I just service it every 5,000 miles or once a year, never had issue with the engine, I’ve had to replace the crank shaft pulley as it failed on me but that my fault because it’s on 170,000 miles now and needed changing ages ago, I recently changed the mounts on my prop shaft as they were failing on me but that for the same reason it needed replacing ages ago, so beside the usual wear and tear never had any issues, I’ve got EGR delete, swirl flap delete, DPF delete, straight through exhaust, decent panel filter, acomma oil, stage 2 map, just servicing it at the right times, never leaving it, fuel filter oil filter, oil changed, clean air filter as it’s a green cotton one, replace cabin filter etc then when thing start to go after old age I just replace it
@@Lemansbluee90 Thanks alot mate! Probably going to do the same on mine, mine is a manual too. Cant wait to get it finished with more power. How much hp is it pushing?
@@Mason-t1q 323BHP and 505ftlb, standard clutch, standard turbo, manual. Very impress, still pulls really hard, one day I may get a slightly better clutch and when the turbo needs replacing maybe get a hybrid but keep it at the same power or just slightly more just to keep it reliable, I message dark side developments and apparently to get my car to 400-420bhp it would cost about 9k which is ridiculous, my car was 245bhp standard and just having EGR, swirl flaps, Wagner front mount intercooler I forgot to tell you about that one, down pipe instead of dpf, exhaust system, and map, say about two grand or less and I gained basically 80bhp and shit load of torque, car runs better and healthier, sounds amazing, well worth it but 9k is just mental rather by another cool car for that money.
Id quite like to fight you for the chance to own this, if that is possible. Please pm me and we can arrange a dust up to settle who is the rightful owner of blue dragon. Thankyou for your time, consideration and the love you have shown. I'd like to be friends but first.. we fight.
@@no-damn-alias yeah turbo back straight pipe, straight pipe from the turbo back, how ever you want to say it. The straight 6 really make it sounds unique
@@Lemansbluee90 well there are many straightpiped M/N57 outthere but this one sounds special and wholesome. A nice truck sound for everyday driving but also some screaming when hitting the gas and almost completely smoke free.
@@no-damn-alias my mechanic said the same thing he was shocked with the sound also, I really don’t know to be honest, it’s a custom built straight pipe which I don’t think is anything special as it’s just a long pipe lol and it doesn’t have its dpf, it was mapped by someone who maps rally cars but I don’t think that would make a diesel sound diffrerent, and for the smoke free it believe it’s low ash oil that was used In the past but still doesn’t really smoke that much now either, blanked egr and blanked swirl flaps
I believe, the 335d has bigger injector, different turbo, paddle shift instead of manual and they start at about 301bhp where my 330d started at 245bhp, so with the mods I have done so far if I did that to a 335d it probably be 400bhp + instead of 320bhp that I have at the moment
For E9x 3-series, 335d is M57TU2, 330d is M57TU2 for pre-facelift, and N57 for facelift. 330d is single turbo, 335d is biturbo. 330d M57TU2 is 231hp, 330d N57 is 245hp and 335d M57TU2 is 286hp. 335d is 6-speed auto ONLY, 330d is available with 6-speed manual and auto.
How do I get really loud turbo whistle in my 2006 e91 330d? I have straight piped it from the turbo and installed sport air filter and tuned the engine to 300 hp. But I only get a really small amount of turbo spool. And I know some 330d cars where you can even hear the turbo whistle while the car is idling. And I want that in my car. But how do I get it???
