That's about right for ur boost level on ur twins, you don't need a lot of timing at all. I think the 17Ts are the sweet spot honestly, bigger isn't really usable anymore, and smaller Turbos suffer top end. Awesome build.
Thanks man, wasn't expecting to break 600whp on a aussie dyno. Goal was always dyno jet 600whp, so pretty damn happy. Have you dragy'd your single setup yet?
@@ZeroTo60Tube I did, I need some better rubber in the back though it made 6.22 spinning half way thru third.. my street tires ain't cutting it especially with an open diff.an identical car with an m3 rear end and 305s in the back ,local to me , when we tuned it , it made 5.6 secs 100 to 200 , still spinning but not as bad
When I say identical I mean same kit, basically the same tune, but he's a manual with 7700 rpm limiter(upon his request),and 305s out back so yeah not really identical lol, but similar power on the dyno.
Yes, this makes the axles issues all seem more reasonable. I knew the car felt fast, but it does it so effortlessly and without drama or much noise. Super happy with these numbers on this type of dyno.
That was the most casual 625hp dyno run I've seen on RU-vid... ever!! 😁🤘 I'm glad it did make that number, it kind of validates what a lot of us have been thinking a decently tuned hybrid turbo n54 makes at the wheels! Thanks to the Hoff and Nugget Garage for making it happen 👍
Welcome to seeing what a load based dyno does. The dyno fully controls how fast the car revs. Which means tuners can more accurately tune each RPM range. However, it doesn't make the cool noise of a fast ramp. That said you can set these to sound cool, but it's more for wank than actual purpose.
Wow that’s absolutely insane for 17T’s! I have the similar setup but with 19.5T turbos at around 23-24 psi so this is a great judgement to see where my car stands
One of my favorite "0 to 60" videos for sure. The look on his face when he sees the dyno numbers is hilarious! Plus it give those of us that are building budget cars a lot of hope for big power.
@@ZeroTo60Tube my buddy has a 318 with a twin turbo LS swap with 1300 hp. He's running billet m3 axles and they are holding up. I think you'll be solid once you get your m3 axles in. But hell....snap 'em all! No half sends baby! Looking forward to the next video! See y'all soon
Very impressive result guys I definitely wasn't expecting to see those kinds of numbers.. makes sence now why ethel had a hard time beating this thing back when it was in kill mode, looking forward to seeing it progress 😁🤘
Really unreal with those cheap turbos! But I would like to have the whole graph of the torque curve minimum and Max at what RPM because that's what's really getting the car out of the hole.
@@ZeroTo60Tube I always thought I wanted a big single but I love the power delivery of the stock twin. I can imagine it is very similar with upgraded ones, just more of it 😅 Keep up the awesome work on the channel 👌
Well proud of you lads go team n54 over 600bhp at the wheels Wow..i may look at the t17 turbos for my 2006 e90 n54 with 60k miles..il be happy at 550bhp at the wheels.outstanding lads well done
Thanks dude. Kind of makes sense doesn't it. I was getting a bit perplexed as i havent really seen anyone with a 6at snap axles. Anyway managed to break my dragy 100-200 record just now. Edit will be live tonight. This is a properly quick car.
@@ZeroTo60Tube all those cut up hands and bloody knuckles paying off for you my Man!! I am going to go back to Cleveland Exhaust when the time comes he did my first Dyno back when I was pretty much FBO on 98, JB4 and MHD back end flashed put up a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge 327hp at the wheels hopefully that number has increased..... wink wink
Hot damn! Nearly reaching 2.5X the power over stock. 😮 no wonder she flies and snaps axels. A little surprised Scott didn’t get you to crank it and send it till a piston comes through the bonnet, or a hoist loop thrown in somewhere. 😜 Nugget garage deserves a lot more love.
Damn guys. This is impressive, makes me keen to mess with my tune more on the Z4 35i My last dyno gave me 479whp 823nm but that's on 91oct with methanol and only 6 degrees of timing, I think I need to up my game and target some more timing and boost. Well done guys! seriously impressive!
💥GREAT JOB MY FRIENDS💥you guys are amazing and im so happy for you guys.😁 You guys wasted no time getting the content we all wanted. Thany You for that. Over 620 HP on a true budget build. he'll ya ❤👍❤
This seems like a dumb question. What is done for fueling I have hybrid setup in the mail on the way only have a stage 2 lpfp in the car now? This have PI?
Wow congratulations on the buld like your Channel a lot always has great content I have a 2013 335is made 653whp on dyno pushing 28psi dynamics autowerks flowmax it was dyno tuned I feel the power isn't there I'm going to have it street tuned to see if there's a difference what is your wheel and tire set up looking new setup but the roads in NY are horrible
Grab a dragy and remove any doubt on its power. Dragy best way to know what it’s doing in the real world. Current wheels are m437 genuine wheels and they pretty light, car feels faster with these. Also have a 18 set of Koya wheels which I run the ar1 tyres on for trying to really go quick.
Omg guys, this is insane. Please do this again, right after the DCT swap. I need to know. Probably you need some bigger axles, hahaha. Dutch regards, Nico.
When you go full single might be worth looking into a stand alone ecu I recently found out motec ecu can support direct injection- high pressure fuel pump- dct control and has a n54 base map, bit pricey but might be worth it to future proof things ???
I have been toying up stand alone. So much more control and safety. More hours is killer expensive tho. I have been thinking about ditching the di tbh.
@@ZeroTo60Tube agreed Ive been saying go Haltech on some of the videos but of recent found out Haltech doesn't offer some of the supported features like the motec does for the n54 should look a look at them
@@davidstevenson1211 I keep going back to maxxxecu. They intergrate with the e9x cars perfectly, so the car will work completely as stock as far as the driver is concerned but the DI will be gone. One good thing about maxxxecu is they will also control the DCT
@@ZeroTo60Tube yeah I've seen maxxxecu they look alright might have to pick one and try it, it would make a good video on weighing up options and what's needed
I dont remember if you mentioned this during the install, but did the wastegates on your 17Ts need any adjustment before install? Looking for a cheap, "throw in" solution for more power and no more rattle for my OEM turbos.
Haven't broken the trans yet, i have only heard it slip once and that was trying to do the 0-100 runs with the semi slicks on. It just didnt bite in to 2nd gear like it used to.
Ken at Wedge is the man. Tuned so many more of these motors than anyone else, writed the MHD base maps and also has been at the forefront of development since day 1.
Well done gents. Thats some strong numbers. But I can honestly say on a proper load dyno, u won't make more then 600whp. I had mine dynoed at 21psi and made 557whp and 740nm. That was on 93/95 octane unleaded pump gas with 1lt of NF Ultra race additive.
This is a proper load dyno….. in fact this is one of the most power proper load dynos you can buy. The retarders are rated to hold 3000hp. I didn’t realise while filming but it’s dyno dynamics latest and greatest dyno for high power cars.
I love your Channel mate just wondering why you never just got a N54 AWD for you can actually reach the numbers you looking for in real time i have a 09 N54 AWD fully tune and mine does 0-60 in 3.5 seconds or less depending on the weather in New York but I can imagine having power like your car you can easily hit 100-200 in 5 or less seconds with AWD lol
The dyno wasn't connected to the RPM signal, which i think is why there is no torque reading. TBH i wasnt even thinking about it. Was just looking for HP and keen to check AFRs on the dyno were similar to what JB4 was logging.
@@ZeroTo60Tube man...a torque number would have been sweet though! Thank you for getting her on the dyno though. Time for me to start throwing cash at my 07 335. Lol
See what I meant. My car with the aggressive tune that it has and only 43 thousand original miles. I didn't cut any corners with parts either. The AFE dry filter intake I have with VRSF catless downpipes, agency intercooler, VRSF charge pipe with twin turbo smart blow off valves my car screws. I wanna get it dyno'd. I know I'm making at least 500+ ATW's. We'll see eventually. I'm still doing a few things but my video is right around the corner. Bought a new dog so got side tracked this week...👍🏁
@@ZeroTo60Tube I want to get a draggy but there's really no where for me to get on my car unless I go on the highway which state police are always in cars you'd never expect! I'll get it on a Dyno soon enough. This guy I used to hang out with like 27 yrs ago when I had my Vortech supercharged mustang just bought a new shop and he has a Dyno. I'm gonna try and make that video tomorrow or this weekend. I just bought a new dog and have to pick it up at the airport. Plus I have a muscleskelotal disease called fibromyalgia that always messes up my plans. You guys will be the first I contact when it's done so you can see it....👍🏁
@@ZeroTo60Tube Check out my car on Instagram. Jordanberry32 you can atleast see the car and some of the titanium I've been doing under the hood. You can see some mods as well. I got a new number and can't get into my old Instagram...??? But atleast you can see my beast!
Interesting, virtual Dyno showed 588whp from your 3rd gear log you posted the other week, however 3rd has less load than 4th gear and the log finished at 6200rpm which will be below your peak power..
My opinion, hopefully others will agree? Don't do a single turbo. You already have a single turbo car. Just push the 17t's to their max first. Still so much you can do to this car.
I still wanna wind them up for sure. But 17t twins get to a point where you start risking the motors due to back pressure. I’m probably just under the danger zone right now (maybe). But driving a single is a whole mother experience. We will keep twins on the Vargas car tho. But I want them to be better than the 17t twins
Interesting I haven't heard of this back pressure issue. Looks like I'll be doing some research. I'm pussing my 17t's at 26psi and 19 degrees of timing. So far so good. Thanks. Always learning.
@@ZeroTo60Tube I have logs with the off the shelf e85 port injection be flash when my engine was stock where it was pulling 22.5 degrees. I guess I don't know enough about the tuning side to have thought that was alot.
@@ZeroTo60Tube did you find out if you have a faulty waste gate have you had a good look at your 2 cacuum canisters to see if any have hair line crackes in then do they feed each waste gate? i hope its warm up where you are as broken hill in friggn cold cheers glenn
@@glennarnold3970 Havent found the issue. 3rd gear is still that 1psi under target on the street. I havent wound out 4th on the street. It was closer to target on the dyno, but the load that dyno puts on the car is insane so it will build boost better than on the street.
The dyno wasn't connected to the RPM signal, which i think is why there is no torque reading. TBH i wasnt even thinking about it. Was just looking for HP and keen to check AFRs on the dyno were similar to what JB4 was logging.
26psi. Would be keen to see yours on a dyno. My only advantage will be port injection. You and i run similar timing targets. But your turbos will flow a lot better.
@@ZeroTo60Tube yes sir, that's true but I am running a lot of methanol though those two nozzles in the charge pipe cm10 and cm7, that compensates for the rest of the lacking Ethanol, I think I found the perfect fuel set up is the one it's running now, a lot of meth and e40
@@ALEX.THE.RUSSIAN I should add with port injection and e85 you’d be able to target closer to 15deg in a kill tune. Ohhrly has run 18deg for its passes. Getting that large volume of e85 I. The cylinders helps massively. More so than meth.
Don’t get me wrong this will wallop an e92 m3, it doesn’t give the same feeling. This for racing the m3 for drives in the hills. That would be a dream setup.
