Exactly. Literally every time a pro EV driver uses this as an argument, this fact blows up in his face. Second, whilst I can park my ICE car just anywhere and spend 2min per week at a gas station, these EV's are always charging on the parking lot or that single charge post in the street.... OVERLOADING electricity network like crazy and thus using energy ALL THE TIME while ICE cars just stand there wasting zero fuel. Also once majority would own electric cars, taxes will shift to weight of the car rather than engine displacement. In France, every car above 1800kg, will be charged with €10 per kg above that weight. In 2025, the Netherlands will do the same, from 1600kg upwards. So good luck with your EV's then. I'll drive my ICE Countryman to the ground rather than switching to EV.

Except for the electric bit….wish people would stop talking about it like it’s a case of you have to go electric at some stage like the housing market. Ev’s will NEVER be the only vehicle on the road…..Pete’s getting one as he’s dodging tax (like 99% of the other ev owners/renters)..it’s actually a crime against the climate to suggest this is ‘going green’
