Hey Mike, great video! I have a F10 545d 95k miles and suspecting maybe a bad front left wheel bearing. My F10 has been sitting for about 3 years and i'm getting it back on the road. i just got new Formula F rotors and akebono ceramic pads from you guys. The issue is when driving theres a mild ticking coming from the front left (in sync with wheel rotation) and when i brake, its very pronounced, sound l like someone tapping on something. I took the wheel off this morning and can't hear or feel anything clicky when rotating the rotor. i thought it might have been paint on the rotor (i wiped the Z coat, and painted the hat and outer edges with high temp paint, to avoid future rust), but there wasnt enough paint to make noise, and the friction surfaces, inside and out, looked smooth and shiny. i'll check run-out of the rotor and hub next to rule out a bent hub or a crooked or bent rotor, but by eye the rotor looked true when i rotated it. but the weird thing is, it seemed very difficult to rotate the rotor, even with the wheel on. i dont think i could have made the wheel spin freely. when i tried to spin it, it just stops. i suppose the brake could be dragging, but it all feels normal while driving aside from the tapping sound. i just wanted to know if stiffness is normal in wheel rotation - due to big wheels, new pads, a dragging pad (none of which account for the tapping noise). or would a bad wheel bearing be on the suspect list for both issues?
