K.B.Motorsports Inc. Frustrating design by BMW is now much easier with AGA's 8hp park release tool. And 100% safer. Very well engineered and manufactured. Both tow truck drivers and vehicle owners have expressed frustration over the poor design of not being able to put car in neutral. I would think that the liability and safety aspects of the design would have BMW rethinking their design engineering. Another great tool from Martin @ AGA Tools and we own many. Kip Busse

K.B. Motorsports thank you for the comment and for being a AGA Tools customer, I am aware about the frustration expressed by Tow Trucks and also Car owners. When we filed the Patent on the Park Release tool it also included a Permanently Installed Park release that can be easily installed in the car and activated at any time without getting under the car. It is fully developed and also tested at this point and will come out very soon.

Thank you very much, This 8HP problem is something i have had a lot of request for, it was very difficult to come up with a safe solution so it has taken a long time. I hope it will help a lot of shops and also Tow Trucks. Yes making these videos is sometimes brutal but i feel that it is very important that the user of the tool has a very solid understanding of how it works to have a good first time experience using the tool, once you have used the tool a few times it is super easy. @6:08 you should have shown that you choked the vehicle wheel before going under. @6:16 you should have shown what are the screws for the the under panel. While I applaud your video, I think you should done it live with real vehicle of all the steps.

Was excited that there might be a way so I didn’t have to crawl under them anymore. Guess not. It’s asinine that bmw did this. Can’t believe there hasn’t been a lawsuit from someone having the vehicle roll over them.

Yes we agree that this is not ideal, witch is why we spend a lot of time on coming up with a solution.But at least now there is a way not being under the car while Park is released.

@@ICEV Yes getting under the car is not ideal, and yes it can be tight on some models. But at least the tool gives you an option to get the car in neutral without being under the car when it happens. Jacking up the car will make it a lot easier but takes longer. We did time tests on many different cars without jacking up the car and using an electric ratchet, from body panel removal till the car was in neutral. Here is a few time tables: G20 330 x-drive 3min 50 sec G01 X3 3min 25 sec G07 X7 2min 40 sec G12 760 4min 12 Sec

"The problem is, you bought a BMW. The solution is, buy a Lexus". LOL Seriously though, good on AGA for designing and manufacturing such clever tools to compensate for ze Germans idiotic engineering. W164 M-Class Benz's also don't have a way to get the car out of park if the batteries die. Just crazy.

Sasha, we agree it is not great and we have received a lot of complaints about this issue from shops and techs that share your opinion which is why we made this tool. We try to focus on and create a solution.
