Looks like it could now be the lowest point on the underside of the car. I'd be a bit worried about hitting it on something and ripping half the exhaust off. If it was fitted closer to the floor pan, had a slash cut bend on it to direct the gasses downward, and possibly had a skid plate protecting the valve body I'd be more enthusiastic about your mod........ Does sound good though.
did you make that the exit for one of the two exhaust pipes on the e36, or did you weld that on so the two pipes still lead out and that’s just another exit for a pipe? idk if that makes sense, but i’m trying to do this with mine and i’ve seen many different ways for it. also, how much was it to install? (not including the cutout part price)
@@patrides And I feel bad for you because of your condescending atitude and for not understanding my point. I can usually tell if a car has st3, st4, v5, st6, v6, v8, v10, .. But if you read the title this is a video about a exhaust cutout, not an engine review. To make it clear, I am talking about the ricer diy handmade exhaust (no offence to the owner). And don't get me wrong I like the m50's, prefer s50's but it's still good, but the exhaust was apparently welded by Lithuanian Stevie Wonder and Hellen Keller, it has that metalic rattling sound and is leaking air all over, thus sounds like a ricer honda, nothing to do with the engine mate
Thanks! I driven E36 with this mod about 1 year now, nothing bad happend, because it doesen't get that hot to ignite fuel and not much heat reaches fuel lines or fuel pump, even on very hot summer days. (Tested with laser termometer) If you want to see how did valve hold up after 1 year be sure to subscribe and don't miss out ;)
Yes it does, depends if you running stock engine or tuned, if stock you actualy won't feel any diffrence but it does improve a little bit, if it's moded and tuned then you will feel it a lot more between stock exhaust and straight piped. And it actualy makes diffrence where you put your valve, I done mine before CAT. Oh and look up where your CO2 sensor is because you can actualy lose power if not done right.
I dont hear a difference perhaps its from the mic or the fact that we are listening to an engine as big as a Coke bottle :D And why am I subscribed to this when I have never even watched a single video this guy has wtf
Hey bro i would like to know if it slowers your car or not i really need some clean answers im considering to do it and i need some answers please brother!
bawan J. No it won’t make your car any slower, there’s no reason for it to. There may be a low end torque loss but it will be un-noticeable. You may pick up some top end power, again may be un-noticeable.
Mr Poopy Butthole for the low end torque i think it would be the same if u like raced the car with the valve closed right like you didnt made any modifications
bawan J correct but hell I ran my car with open headers for a bit, screamed at the top. Once I put the exhaust back on I noticed a minuscule amount of low end torque. But hell could have been a placebo.
