I compared this to a video of my own stock 328 and it pulls the same, though you shift more aggressively. These cars still go hard almost like new despite all the miles and years (and nikasil..)
0-200 is same as mine with m50 intake and ecu + 3.15 diff, stop trolling ppl man no stock engine revs over 6500 and no stock m52b28 revs so agressive over 6k rpm!
El Loco even when you do not realease the gas pedal while shifting, a stock e36 has the rev limiter at 6500! Stop trolling ppl... even if its modded its pretty fast
doma fakker my e36 has the rev limiter at 6500 too. It just looks like it turns higher. If you listen closely, you can hear how I hit the clutch at exactly 6500 rpm. I can promise you that the Car was not tuned my friend
my first 325i 91 was as fast as this 325i so my second not all the are not on the same health mecanic now it s sure your 328i is in perfect condition ;)
It was 100% stock in this Video! But I have sold the Car and bought a 330ci e46. My E36 328i was faster than the 330ci I have now.E36 is definitely the better car
The e36 328is goes from 0 to 60 in 6.1 seconds. Why is everyone so surprised? look up performance figures before assuming performance. I have owned two of these cars and they are very fast.
Incorrect, the coupe is rated at 6.1. Besides, BMW is notorious for underrating performance numbers. Also, even if there are conflicting numbers out there and you have seen 6.9 as a figure, I have personally tested my stock car from 0 to 60 and I got a 6.3 and my friend was in the car with me. I am not making this up because I have no reason to, but believe what you want. I understand that different tests will reveal different results.
this car has to be stock (0-200kmh in 27sec is not a modded M52B28)...maybe he was on a "slope" when is started because 6sec to 100kmh is too fast...stock is around 7sec (7.3 official).
tuningam ht chipped is an external device (ex :www.turnermotorsport.com/p-352-performance-chip-with-speed-sensor-delete.aspx) remap is the rereading of the ecu
it is the m52b28 and it is utterly astounding. All internals are forged and will never go wrong, I've had mine for 2 years now, put 30000km on it and now at 200000km, it runs perfectly
João Bernardo Pretto these motors can handle 300k of torture without any problems,i got m40 with and it still runs like new and its worst bmw petrol motor
jobolarius No, but with that statement I assume you are. Ever wondered if weight and gear ratios might make a difference, or is horsepower all you need to fly to the moon in a 100 tonne truck?
you clearly dont know anything about bmw both cars have the same engine, they weigh the same and you simply dont make newer models slower! the official bmw 0-100 numbers are 6.7 for e36 and 6.5 for e46
E36 Engine: M52B28 Vanos E46 Engine: M50TUB28 Dual Vanos E36 0-100 km/h: 6.7 secs E46 0-100 km/h: 7.1 secs E36 Curb Weight: 1395 kgs E46 Curb Weight: 1450 kgs A perfectly good example for "making newer cars slower" is the VW Golf GTi, which was a rocket for its power back in the 70s but has become more and more lazy over the years. its a fake, look at the odometer if he was going that fast it would roll over much faster. I have a 99 e36 convertible and i don't have to show off and make shit up. Its a sweet ride with out all the bull shit
LOL, let's have a look at that odo shall we. A 328i will finish a quarter mile at something like 160kph, so his odo should show 0.4 more KM at 160 than it did at zero. Which it does, or even a bit more. Besides, if you wanted to cheat, the odo would still just follow what it said on the speedometer no matter if you did it on a dyno or downhill. If you want to know why your car is slower, it's because it's a vert and therefore 100kg heavier...
It was a little more than 6 seconds based on the youtube timer. I managed 6.9 seconds with a bogged launch and not powershifting. If I tried a bit harder and had better tires I could probably get close.
