I have a 99’ e36 M3 auto vert. Knock on wood, never had that problem. Did have to replace the window regulator once on the driver’s side, and of course my door panel clips were hosed, but all that was taken care of during the restore.
Hi, you are welcome bro, i will upload some new videos soon about coilovers and camber arms, have just started the channel but will have more in the future, thank you for subscribing
Window rolls up 3/4 off the way then falls forward about 1/4" I have to pull it up and back and hold and roll at same time or the windows rulls up outward what can be the issue?
usually when that happens, you are missing a mechanical link in the window regulator assembly , first step is to remove the door panel and inspect it , usually it is like in the video one of them 2 ball joints get loose after getting worn
This only works long enough for you to put the door back together and maybe a few more operations of the window until it comes off track again. That broken slider has to be replaced.
@@Nemesis-ym3ed some of the aftermarket new regulator are trash too , they don't keep tension and pop out , you just have to check it in action and see what exactly cause it to pop out , sometimes you may have to bent the regulator arms a little
mate, you NEED to buy new sliders with clips yours are shot! and you need the clip too go all the way along and fit it to the slider first then grab the arm of the regulator and snap the ball joint in - you'll know as it'll make a loud click!
yes you are right i have already replaced them by new , just when i did the video i had no parts and just though of driving with it like that until i receive the parts.
Hi I have the same problem upon inspection I found out that one of the glass holder is detached, can you give advise on how to fix it or what kind of adhesive will work to hold the glass firmly? Will sealant work? Thank you!
if your window is off the said rails , you have to disconnect the 2 ball joints and fit it inside the side rails again , the easy way to do it is by lifting one side (toward the rear side) and get it again in between
Had this problem, needed to buy a new mechanism cause the thing that holds the plastic clips is worn out. Stopped popping out but still one side comes up lower than other and is weird
@@WheelersHoarder Thanks for the reply. That’s what I figured from the research I’ve done. It looks like the little plastic roller is non replaceable for that arm. They don’t sell the part. I guess I’m replacing the whole regulator.
It should pull straight out through the top . Remove the rubber seal on top and slide it all the way up the same way your roll the window up . Take your time and as I remember you can leave the track on the window just disconnect it from the regulator
