this video shows you how to replace the downstream 02 sensors on both bank 1 (cylinders 1, 2 and 3) and bank 2 (cylinders 4, 5 and 6) on a 2006 BMW 325i.

Great video, it was very informative. If you look at the video at 3:11, the reason that the crows foot and O2 sensor tools "didn't work" is that you are actually trying to tighten the sensor instead of loosening it. When you place the adjustable wrench, you are actually turning the sensor in the correct direction. Happens to the best of us - cheers!

@@IvanIvanov-zm1ot hey bro nah it’s easier for the n52 motor like shown in this video. For the n54 it’s way harder cause of the location of the o2s :/ I managed to replace them without removing the downpipes but it was a pain to do it.

Wish I would have watched this yesterday. I tried every fricken tool I had except for a small adujustable wrench! I've about destroyed that sensor trying to get it out! Hopefully I can just turn them off in the computer!

I have the N47 318d e91 , I'm getting the code 447b oxygen sensor but doesn't tell me bank 1 or 3 and so on so how do I know which , I'd appreciate any help if anyone can answer

What code did it give you? My e99 fails the inspection with code p2098. My scanner only tells me bank 2 but doesn’t say sensor 1 or 2. Are they all the same just different lengths?

at 3:10 for the bank 1 sensor second tool it didn't "work" cause you were tightening the sensor instead of loosening it

Can an oxygen sensor be faulty without reporting an DTC? What is the best way to test it, can it be cleaned maybe? I have problems on cold start for a few seconds the idle is rough, and afterward everything is good i would say. All glow plugs are changed and the relay too. The car is BMW E91 LCI 318D 105kw 11/09, it has only 1 oxygen sensor I would say only on the DPF, next to the temperature exhaust sensor and the pipe for pressure sensor. If I don't have a Scissor lift that lifts the whole car up at once can I just use jack stands on the front of the vehicle to get to the downstream oxygen sensors ?

Yes I just did it. I suggest going and getting a 22mm and a adjustable all I needed for mine it is very tight though on just jacks.

For all E90, the O2 sensors are installed like this and should be replaced at the bottom only? Isn't there any model that the O2 sensor can be replaced from the top side? I saw the connector clip is located near the valve cover for such model.

There are four O2 sensors total...he replaced the two sensors after the CATs(Sensors 2 of Bank 1&2)...the two accessed from the engine bay are(Sensors 1 Bank 1&2).

What car you have ? If it’s a 335i a faulty o2 sensor can make it misfire on 3 cylinders

Those ingenieers are so dam to make an engine like this . They find not solutions instead they look for dificulties and make a killing in service and repair etc .
