Good video overall. Good choice using Dorman replacement parts. It was difficult seeing the door panel in the first part of the video but the change of lighting for later parts resolved.
Thanks for the feedback Rob, we didn't realize the footage was dark until after the fact, apologies for that. Glad it cleared up later in the video where you could visualize things. Hope the video was still helpful for you. Cheers!
Skipped the part where you took apart the connector to the motor. I'm pressing tab and it's not budging. I'm just hurting my fingertip for the last hour
Apologies Pat, it should be a regular connector with a push tab style. You can try to insert a pick tool on the female side to try to lift the clip, instead of trying to press it to pivot it up. Sometimes that can try to stick, be sure you are pressing the connector IN before pressing the tab and then pulling it off. Good luck on your BMW project. Cheers!
Hello Sir, thank you for the good tutorial video. I just got a problem after I programmed it, it rolled down good but when it rolled up and hit the top it automatically rolled back down half way. What should I do? Thanks for your kindly help.
Hey Money Marker, sorry to hear you are having trouble after the install. I would try to perform the re-programming again. - Sit in the car, and put the key in position 1, so you have power to the windows. - Push and hold down the window switch, and keep it held down for 15 seconds after the window is all the way down. This re-sets the memory, telling the motor, in effect, “Remember where we are now? ” - Roll window back up, and release switch. Quick Video - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bWMTKkYmh6s.html If this still does not solve the issue, you can roll the window back down and wait for it to get to the bottom. Then you can take the palm of your hand and "push" the little bit of window sticking up above the door down about 1/4". This can manually reposition the bottom stopping point for the window. Now you can repeat the programming again to set the new parameters with the manually adjusted window. Let us know how it goes, Cheers!
@@BradleysGarage hello sir, I tried it but still doesn't work. But if I rolled it up a little bit at the time until it hit the top gently it was ok. Thanks for all your tips and I subscribed to your channel. 👍
@@makemoneyonlinebeginner You may have an issue with either the motor losing initialization or a harness/connector issue where it is allowing the motor to lose its normalization. Some guys were saying you need to hold the button for at least 15 seconds but no more than 20 seconds. The other guys are saying to hold it for 30 seconds so who knows what to believe. I'm not sure how critical this part is but if you just changed the regulator/motor out, you may have gotten a defective one. I will play around with the reset procedure again and try a few different time lengths to see if it makes any difference. Let us know how it goes, Cheers!
Good video. But When I reattach the clip for the interior door handle.[ big white clip] the handle stays pulled out and won't move? How to get around this please?
