The key answer to my search was at the end of the video. That is, when running the air bleed program, the pump cycles on and off. None of the other videos or anything posted mentioned this. Thanks!
Excellent video, you went straight to the point and you didn’t talk too much like a lot of these yotubers - I will substandard and like your video!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Hi Eric, I recently stumbled across one of your videos regarding the dodge ram 2012 fuel pump diagnosis. I must say very well done! Thorough and contrite. I then subscribed and came across the BMW water pump bleed. This brings me to my question. Im hoping you can answer. I have a 2010 BMW 335i, and I have a peculiar problem with the cooling system. The car ran great. However, the coolant would leak on an intermittent basis. I came home one day and noticed coolant leaking from beneath the car. I let it cool down a while and then filled it with coolant. I looked under the car, and nothing was leaking. I didn't have the A/C on, so it wasn't condensation from the compressor. It was definitely coolant. I drove the car around for a bit and came back home and checked for leaks. Again, nothing leaking. The following day, I drove the car again to my friends place (15 miles approx.) and still no leaks. I left to head back home and stopped for gas. I got out of the car, and there it was, a stream of water running across the ground. I shut the car off and waited a few minutes before opening the cap and filled the car back up w coolant. I'm baffledat this point. I took the car to a place named Bimmer clinic. Specializing in BMWs. They performed a pressure test, and they said it held. That the car is fine. Of course, it didn't leak when I had it there. Just my luck. I drove home, and the very next day, it started leaking again. I took it to a second shop. Again, no leaks. Then, of course it leaked again after leaving the shop. I believe the car has to be at running temperature and the thermostat has to be opening and closing several times before it starts to leak. Have you ever come across anything like this before tegarding BMWs? Any advice or knowledge would be helpful. Thank you!
Very informative video man, thanks! I wanted to ask, on mine its a constant stream, but it has a similar stream to yours when you were mentioning “air pockets”. Does that mean that there may be a leak since air is coming in? (I’m assuming that since it was squirting like it was clearing air pockets, but it’s constant).
Excellent video bro. Can I do this test on a 2004 bmw 545i it has the same coolant tank. I recently tried it. And I only hear a noise from the the water pump activate. But. No water streaming in the coolant tank
Appreciate the video was a big help. I just have one problem the electric pump won't move any Water when it's running like yours did in the video, maybe a bad pump or can the heater control valve be stuck. Would appreciate your input. Thank you..
My car is throwing me the 002e81 for water pump. An 002ef4 for thermostat. But I've seen so many people say the bleeding process is how u test the pump. But when my car is running its a nice continuous flow.
Good video. Thanks for show us the bleeding process which removes trapped air. My question, when would one use the bleeder valve to bleed the system. On my E90 it’s located on the coolant overflow tank.
Question I got a 377A code Coolant pump swtiched off due blockage. I did the water pump test and it works. Why I'm getting that code im so confuse the car dont overheat either. 2011 BMW135I
I know this old post but I have question plz , I have 07 525i and my radiator always cold , the only hot sport where the upper radiator hose goes and this area have steam coming out of it too . Is this bad radiator ??
ADVANCED LEVEL AUTO I’ve watched a lot of other videos and they say to run this for 12 minutes while you have a battery regulator connected to your battery. Thoughts please?
Why do some people leave cap off & others leave cap closed? I hear it's meant to be closed per official BMW. Can you input on reasons for either way? Thanks
Hi Sir. Do you know what I should do to stop this bleeding process? After 28 minutes I turned off the ignition because the bleeding wouldn't end. And now, when I set it to 28 degrees at minimum power, this process starts, without me pressing the accelerator. It seems to have stuck in the active function. Thanks
Great video, I am having some issues with my heater, replace new blower motor with new resistor, taking long time to pump the heat out of vents?? any suggestion from you. Appreciate your help...Thank you..
Not sure how long ago you posted this and if you have received some help. My Bm is doing the same thing with no heat through the vents. The cause is the electric pump is faulty .

Hello I recently bleed the system on my bmw 328i later to find out one day that the water pump kept running over night after the procedure do i need to deactivate the water pump or does the car just stops doing that after a while . because if it stops by itself then I fear I might have a bad water pump . thanks .
I did the text and hear the water pump working but I didn't see anything coming through the reservoir cooler, the water pump makes noise but dont shoots coolant. What u think that is wrong the water pump, or something happens on the hoses and radiator. Please help me with that.
I have the 2001 330ci m54 5 speed manual. I tried the methid of turning the key to in oosition and foot in the throttle but it didnt work. Fluid comes out oerfect when the csr is on though. I dont think that 10 second method works for my car.

@@stumax8799 So what I did was I bought another pump, unplugged the harness from the old one and plugged in the new one just to see if it would turn on and it worked. So I replaced it and been working no problem. Bad pump apparently.
Like your vehicle video... but that music is so darn loud when it starts up... makes me turn to some other quieter channel..... Cant handle that loud stuff. .. cant you make it the same volume level as the video?
I tried it on my 04 545i I tried the self bleeding test and I can hear the water pump activate. But no water squirting. Then I started the engine and I see squirting. I also had a code p0116 engine coolant temp sensor#1 the one on the pump. Any ideas ma boi???
