It's been a while since the last video on this car, but we've had a lot of work to do before getting it on the dyno. In this video we show our turbo mods, some dump pipe manufacturing, a quick oil change and then on to the dyno runs.
Great series! A detailed, well produced run of vids on the n20 has been hard to come by. Happy to see someone like you make one. Just a quick question: have you had any experience or luck with the earlier PWG versions of the n20?
I spent the last hour watching all 4 videos back to back and I love everything I saw. I want to do something like this to my N20 engine. But I would go to a stage one turbo and do all of the requirements for it. But my dream would be a S55 engine swap, but I’m thinking it may not fit
Gonna use the same liner style you guys had done on the cylinders, mine just broke away and smashed my valves and head. from what I’m assuming it was heat that accelerated the wear on the liners
Great video, but I just don't understand why anyone would throw so much money at BMW's base econ motor. Why not sell the car, buy a 6 cylinder, do a stage I tune and drive happily and reliably.
hey, ive commented on your youtube channel about the N20 build, Over here in california we dont see alot of BMW N20 320i content, My question to you is.. With FBO BM3 stage 2 tune 91, new spark plugs, coils and new oem injectors, can i run a OTS Bootmod3 stage 2 E30 map? without running blowing the engine ? basically is it worth it ?
@@BrintechCustoms Ive seen only few N20/N26 with stage 2 E30, There’s so little content on the N20 car Community, as of right now i’m at 17-19 PSI that is FBO and stage 2 91 oct. would you recommend
@@slow.320i2 ots stg2 e30 will give you 20-21 psi . stock internal can safely handle 22psi on 98 with low timing had been dyno all of the maps these number are based from stock 320i N20 measured at 200HP 280NM with FBO BM3 stg 1 93oct 275hp 380nm BM3 stg2 93 oct 295hp 400nm BM3 stg2 E30 330hp 440nm custom 98 maps by my local tuner 333hp 440nm custom E30 map by a "big name tuner based in US" 340hp 450nm custom E50 map by a "big name tuner based in US" 350hp 490nm (you must have b58tuhpfp with E50 ) i use TTE400 turbo with all of this result these hybrid turbo is not big so it will not make crazy numbers but it really help the high end power which stock turbo always failed to deliver , hybrid turbo will also bring the TQ graph abit more to the middle instead of the big TQ in low rpm which can grenade your engine in no time! (that's the bigest reason why many N20 owners bend their conrod) these numbers are on crank based on dastek dyno usually they're pretty accurate with what the brochure said about crank hp numbers you want to go near 380hp-400hp you might want to change to the bigger turbo and better injector hope this help with your build
