BMW i8 Review! The Best Daily Supercar. 

Okay Lol I’ve driven tons of supercars including Lambos, Ferrari’s, and so on. I personally think that this should be classified as a supercar. But I think if people haven’t driven or at least ridden in cars clearly classified as supercars then they shouldn’t the ones calling the shots on what’s considered a supercar and what’s not considered a supercar.

I'm sill trying to figure out why BMW didint put the 4.4 liter TT v8 from the m6 in this and boost raise the power to 600hp

cuz the i8 isnt suppose to be a supercar nor the top of the bmw line. the m6 and m5 will always be the top of the bmw line until they actually release a supercar

I understand what your saying and I can tell you know more about BMW then I do but I just think it's dumb having such a beautiful and expensive car not have the top of the line motor....I mean it cost just as much of not more then the M6.

Exactly what I thought, to me the Ford Formula Ecoboost came to mind. I think an i8 with an aftermarket exhaust might sound really cool. At the very least you might get actual exhaust note in the cabin. Rather than fake bullshit speaker sound BMW loves using these days.

Since its a hybrid, it's two motors working in unison, along with a shit ton of heavy batteries and other components. More important than the weight itself is the weight distribution, which is near perfect and you also have to consider the huge wheels and tires it gets. And it's AWD. . That'll do it

Sigma Projects Sound is all about pulses and that is not strictly linked to cylinder count. I would rather an i3 or i5 than an i4 for example. i4's never sound good really.

I would agree , but there are many who would say that the mark of a supercar is whether it has a mid engine or not . But others say it's all about the power , the ACR Viper can go around a track faster than a Porsche 918 but the Viper isn't a supercar by most people's standards even after beating hyper cars . Most rich ass holes look at the name So a Ferrari F12 is a Supercar to them and anything American is just a piece of junk muscle car , to me my Gen 4 Camaro is a Supercar because it's the car i wan't .

Word. I've always considered the viper a supercar but the interpretation is so subjective. I dont think the i8 is a supercar though. Just an expensive luxury sports hybrid thing
