Hey dude. Hope I never have that problem with my k1600. Not thought out from the manufacturer, just to change a bulb. But I love my k1600, best sports tourer on the planet, my opinion. Peter UK 🇬🇧
just take the one under the BMW LOGO in the handlebar assembly and reach down. thats it. Did it today… it took 10 minutes . Also upgraded to a LED Xenon, let’s see how it goes . Better luck next time! 👍🏽
Nice video on the headlights, but all you need to do for the low beam is remove the handle bars and you can have access to change the bulb. It is difficult to do the clip and connector, but for me I would rather not remove all the parts as shown. The biggest issue I had was the circular tension spring around the bulb opening and getting it back on belts putting the new bulb in.
My windshield bracket broke when it fell down against my truck. Do I need to replace the whole unit, motor included? Or is bracket detachable? It a $2000 job at same dealership. 2012 k1600 gtl. Help.
I own a K1600gt and had to replace same bulb at 60k miles. Did it myself. New bulb cost about $100, beware of Chinese counterfeits. Didn't want to cheap out on bulb and have to replace it a year later. BMW is killing their bike business by exorbitant prices on replacement parts and lack of dealerships. BMW also recommends replacing shocks every 20k miles. That job runs around $4000 at a dealership. BEWARE.
