So interesting hearing how different the options packages and standard items are on US vs UK cars. I.e adaptive suspension is standard on UK cars... but the base price here starts at £49k so it’s more expensive than a base US car! I ordered my M340i xDrive at the end of July and it’s due in December. I went nearly fully loaded, l but avoided the comfort access, power tailgate, driver assistance pro and parking pro options. I spec’d an individual colour (San Marino Blue) and an individual white merino leather interior too. Look forward to more content!
I picked my M340iXD up last week (UK). Totally love it. I got tech, comfort & visibility packages. Got an independent to add tint to the rear windows and wrap the grill (shadow pack with out the black wheels). It’s a total pleasure to drive and for being a mini M car the performance is impressive. I’ve been looking at a remap and a reputable company can get 500bhp / 700Nm for £600. IMO that’s well worth the money. Just need to see how it affects the warranty. The US and UK must spec different as remote start is not available in the UK
I love that blue, just ordered my 2021 M340i in that blue - though with cognac interior (which is what I have on my mediterranean blue 540i thats coming off lease. I ordered mine Shadowline and with the 19" black wheels - I am so looking forward to how it will look compare to your - oh I did red-brake calibers to contrast the blue. My ordered car came in close to your MSRP heh, just a smidge higher. I love your videos! Can't wait for my car to be delivered in about 6 weeks. (and I skipped the suspension)
My 2016 340i in jersey is rwd, and love it. I personally will not get lane assistance, traffic jam assistance. I like the sound system, interior, head up display, rwd,
My M340i will be delivered on Wednesday. I have portimao blue, oyster leather seats, black matte wood, 19” cerium gray wheels, executive package, driving assistance pro package, parking assistance package, HK, remote engine start, M adaptive (adjustable) suspension, wireless charging, front&rear heated seats. $69K MSRP, lease is $792/month
Did you order your options online or pick the car off the lot? I was one of the first to get M340xi in the EC April order from Germany and did not have as much options as u have and I pay that amount 😤😤. Note to self wait, just freaking wait.
The 330 xdrive Msport was custom ordered, made sure to have the Adaptive suspension, shadowline package, summer tires, 360 camera, laser lights, M-sport blue brakes, power liftgate all in BMW Excellence package, have not looked back except for optional LSD for the 330. M340 with the same specs unfortunately out of my budget...
Thanks for your comments. Really interested to hear about your lease deal, I’m in the process of negotiation with the dealer, trying to figure out how low I can go
I assume the lease deals will get better since the car has been out for a year. my deal in June was $595 a month with tax, 12k miles a year for 36 months with $5k out of pocket
Not awesome right now, although I haven’t hardcore negotiated yet- 10k miles, 36 mo for a 62k model 5000 down (which covers tax and down) gets $613/mo. Not on the lot tho, ordering= less leverage
Love my M340i. UK Spec is slight different packages with as @Simoney says... e.g Tech Pack comes with Head Up and Harmon Kardon. I have Mineral Grey with the Black grille, tail pipes and wheels. Noticed too in the drive selector in your clip you don't have Adaptive drive button. This selects the optimum drive e.g. Eco, Comfort and sport depending on what your throttle use is and also what the camera / Nav system tells the car about the road.
Since you begged so hard for comments....get to the point quicker and ignore the construction/noise or other distractions! Brevity is the soul of whit. You have a nice personality, but get to the point immediately after your long lead-in music. Thank you for the video.
Wanted to get your opinion on something. Currently with my budget either I could go for new G80 m3 , 2018 718 Cayman GTS or used F80 m3. Which one would you go for?
What's your goal/needs with the car? Definitely go and drive them all if you are able to. The Cayman is going to feel much different than the M3. Also, are you talking the 4.0L GTS or the 2.5L turbo? Do you need back seats? What about the M2 Comp that's more the size of a Cayman if you need a back seat but want something smaller than the M3?
If you don't need a back seat and are ok with the 4 cylinder sound I would go Cayman GTS. Handling is amazing and much lighter than any M3, not as fast though. Are the roads more open where you live? or are they tight roads with a lot of turns like they are here
Glenn right up front you made one mistake. The B58 is a twin scroll turbo. Not a twin turbo. That’s only on the S58. Hope to see you at the next two M Gruppe events on 10/24 and 10/31.
I think driver assistance pro is too steep and not worth it.. I would get the black w blue stitching leather, parking ,premium, shadowline, powertailgate, Harmon, front and rear heat, all season jet black wheels and red calipers and wireless charger
Possible if you would tell me a guess on what my monthly payment would be I make ,$2848 a month the M340I I want cost 46k? I have a trade in vehicle that is worth 7k would they still release the car to me with no down payment and also I would have a co-signer because my credit is a little jacked up the co-signer credit is around 710( disclaimer I have no other expenses the only thing the money would be going to is my car
Not sure, credit will determine your interest rate which will effect your payment. Try to get your own financing from your bank, credit union, etc this way you can make sure you are not overpaying at the dealership.
Too many options added I prefer the way the M2 is set up with most of these features standard with only several choices. That’s just my opinion. Plus the price is better and you avoid unnecessary packages and options.
