@@achilleaustin Nope, sorry, but a manual will just never be as fast as the current automatics. Used to be that way, but now no human could shift anywhere near as fast as those autos, and those cars can all stay in boost between shifts

The m6 isn't going to be the m8. The 2 is based of the 1, the 4 is based off the 3, the 6 is based off the 5, and the 8 is based off the 7. Since the 8 is based off the 7, how is it going to be the new M6 if itisn't based off the 5?

K-Bow Because the M8 will take the place of BMW's Grand Tourer which the M6 was. The replacement process is already starting with BMW getting rid of the M6 GTE and replacing it with the M8 GTE.

There is just something about the m2 that makes it enjoyable to drive. The feeling of driving manually especially on a modern vehicle is untouchable unless of course you're racing it. But I do miss the days where more cars came in stick shift

Weight was a factor as well as reaction time. Over the stretch of say 1/2 a mile, the bigger cars would have picked up. The m4 is slightly quicker.

@Stef Ich würde mir beide nicht holen. Preis/Leistung passt bei beiden nicht. Nen M5 oder nen alten M3, da bekommste was für dein Geld. Der M2 is viel zu klein und der M4 ist insgesamt nicht stimmig. Bin bisher nur den M4 gefahren, war aber auch nicht begeistert. Mein E92 M3 macht deutlich mehr Spaß.

there is plenty 550i with that engine from f10 and they share same problems as high oil consumption, gummed piston ring grooves and degradation of the piston rings, hydrolock and injector failure, Misfire, corrosion of the alusil sleeves, turbo problems etc. Many of these n63 engines require overhaul over 100k. Problem is, sometimes they even need new block....

I wanted to buy an M car and did extensive research for 6 months!! I settled for.... M4 competition pack with full M performance carbon fibre kit. Absolutely incredible and don't regret it one bit. All things considered it is the best M car. Im not surprised it beat the M6 as its so fast and it sounds absolutely incredible with its cracking playful sports exhaust. Love it to bits.

what you smoking? m3 is never discontinued the m3 and m4 are the same car in terms of performance engine and parts the only thing that changed is the m3 is a 4 door only car aka a sedan weighing a little bit more then a m4 for the extra back room for passengers and the m4 is the coupe aka 2 door car.... the same can be said for the m5/m6 the m5 is the sedan the m6 is the coupe ...so m3/m5 = sedan m4/m6 = coupe all car sets share basically the same parts in their category the only difference is the size/weight you want a family sports car for 4 people to sit comfortably or do you want to save some weight get the coupe as a young single guy without kids.

That black M4 with those wheels...perfection. Love the M4 and it's aggressiveness. Its impossible to choose between that and the M5 & M6 because they all are stunning and great in their own ways. Especially in super white colour with panorama glass or black carbon rooftop. Heck, that is even more perfection.

the test is invalid to be exact... you got 4 cars driven by 4 different people and 2 of the other drivers not even shown... and the guy from supercarsoflondon youtuber guy is just that a youtuber...hes not a performance driver hes a regular joe.... a legit test would be 1 pro driver or retired pro driver driving each car 1 at a time...time it and compare the times... same driver same day same condition... lol a youtuber in a m6 almost coming in last place... shows you his driving talent.

Duo Motovlog Nah, not to the extent that you think. Fuel economy will definitely take a hit, as it takes probably 5 or so extra HP at 70 mph to drive with the window(s) down. About as much as A/C. But we're not racing 1976 Ladas where 5 HP is a substantial fraction of 70 or so HP. If they were doing a race that involved most of the actual race above 90 mph for a significant duration of time, okay, thrn there will be some effect, but still not as big as you'd expect. So, in short, having the window rolled down in this race had a miniscule effect compared to thr other variables at play, including TC, unaligned cars at the start, human reaction time, etc.
