Try to blow air through every port and leave a piece of paper on every other port for comarrison, that's the most simple DIY flow test. If what you are explaining is correct, you should see results, it would be a nice video to watch.
well, these M52 welded ones are welded inside so You have to weld those pipes outside, then You can grind off welding inside so they will be totally fine comparing M50 ones...
Yes, we smoothend the welds inside and didn't reinforce it from outside little crack appeared but after little reinforcement welding it is all good. I think the m52 route is better after this small mod. And also you have to plug the lambda sensor holes.
I have euro manifold. I don't remember if the size is different but when I compared them I came to conclusion that m52 is better. One different is that there isn't that connecting port between the cylinders 2 and 3 in the euro model.
One question that might sounds dumb. But I ordered a manifold and I wanna make sure it’s right. But does it make a huh difference if I put an m50 exhaust manifold on an s52 engine? I realized the engine is bigger on the s52 so I’m not sure if it’s gonna go great when I crank it. Any help?
You must not understand air flow. I have a porting degree and a degree in air flow design and I can tell you everything this guy said is true. They flow better and they deal with the heat and have much better efficiency.

@@masscomnet ever heard of Joe mondelo? The godfather of of cylinder head porting. That's is who I was trained by and have a degree from him specifically In cylinder air flow and port design. He is no longer with us but I can tell you that dude is correct about the m50 manifold and the advantages it has over the m52 header. Sorry I don't have any money for you but I have straight up facts. Also I just got back from my local pick and pull and saw both and will be pulling that m50 manifold tomorrow as and will be installing a n52 exhaust I built from all stock parts.
@@masscomnet for example the m52 manifold has the major issue of the air fighting against each other vs the m50 that don't have that issue. Second the m50 exhaust will transfer the heat better then the m52 manifold which affects the way the air flows out of the cylinder head. 3rd the exhaust cast manifold has enough material to remove for a good port shape that will also help with flow. The only disadvantage the m50 manifold has is its ugly compared to the m52.
@@masscomnet The main difference between the M50 intake and the M52 intake is that the M50 intake holes are each 10mm larger than the M52’s. That is about .39 inches for each bore. Because of this difference, the air flow from the air filter to the intake will be better, which results in more power.
