bme n62 v8 valvetronic problem was misfiring only on one cylinder, no valvetronic codes, valvetronic emergency operation , essentric shaft was worn on one lobe causing the lever to get stock...
Thanks for the Video. Really appreciate it. I have the same problem. was it pretty staright forward to replace the eccentric shaft? I haven't found a video on how to do it?
Hello! I have the SAME problem on cilinder n 3 Our minicooper missfires on cilinder n 3 when hot only Did yours failed like that ? I have taken the eccentric shaft out And there is not an apparent ware Any suggestions? Thanks for your video...
I had a problem with my 04 bmw 646ci reading all kinds of bad codes. It would have a rough idle on a cold start, but after you let it idle rough for a few minutes then shut off and restart it would run better. I read that the symptoms could be the vvts, so i bought new ones and installed them, and it was knocking worse!! ... but the good news is i found that one of the vvt plugs had a broken wire. CHECK THE VVT PLUG WIRES CLOSE FOR BROKEN ONES !!!
Hi, Is the N62 engine throttle suppose to be open wide during idle? Mine is barely open (2-4%), and causing a high vacuum in the intake manifold (>500mbar), which doesn't seem normal? But somehow the MAF is reporting an unusual amount of flow 12g/s at idle. The only fault I'm getting is a 2DD9 (no signal from ARS to DME).
Yes, valvetronic functions just as a normal system via throttle body control when very cold to aid starting and only transitions to VVT when certain conditions are met...usually within seconds unless there is a mechanical problem or most often unmetered air leak....not transitioning and running via throttle blade has effect of increasing vacuum and therefore better idle as a fail safe. A slow vvt motor will also throw it into fail safe, as will improper set valve lift, worn eccentric and likely most often, a oil soaked eccentric shaft sensor providing bad data. No, a bad sensor almost never throws codes but on proper scanner you can see live data to determine if bad...with these cars, the problem is very few people understand the complex datasets in a good scanner, often takes years of experience. No idea why bmw or Bosch provides such minimal error feedback for us...oem ISTA and such don't do any better either.
I need your help... I have same problem maybe! Rough idle, combustion misfire in cylinder 1 and 3, I have swapped plugs, coils and injectors but didn't solve it. My valvetronic run on emergency operation as well. When I use the scan tool to remove the valvetronic, it goes down to 0.8xx mm but I still have rough running! Not like your case the misfire disappear after it removed. Also, the angle wont go down to 0 after, bank 1 stay at 1.4 and bank 2 always on 0. Do you think its the shaft as well? or the sensor? or the valvetronic module? Thanks
@@EDGEMOTORS Understand! I’m gonna replace the eccentric shaft because I run everything possible.Do you have a link or pdf file you can share on how to replace it? The only thing I’m not sure about if there is an alignment when I put the mew one back. My plan is to replace the assembly the eccentric and the camshaft.
Hello my friend. When you remove essentric shaft you must remove timing chain and everything? Or just remove valve cover and remove a few screws and after give out of head essentric shaft ? Now i have problem on my N62 misfire on bank2 (5,6,7,8) cylinders.- driver side. The car have big problem in cold start and after in everytime. but when disconnect all 4 valvetronic solenoids after warm up the car go fine. I want chceck tomorrow the springs, also essentric shaft but i dont know informations about removing. Thanks a lot for your text back !
Sorry i mean solenoids but they are vanos solenoids i think... seriously? Now I'm very pleased :))) Thanks a lot but i have lask qustion. Have you any approach or it is not hard to remove and check? I try get to know what esle i can measure when i get off valve cover. Thanks!
Today morning i made the intermediate levers test, and after cca 1minute the system was been stabilised and after i very shortly push the pedal and after i see this values: cyl. 1: 0,50 cyl. 2: 2,57 cyl. 3: -0,27 cyl. 4: 0,38 cyl. 5: -1,94 cyl. 6: -0,67 cyl. 7: 1,07 cyl. 8: -1,43 What you think about? Have i wrong intermediate levers? Or can i have just springs out from the ˇYˇ ? And i really cant find any manual for removing eccentric shaft without removing timing chain and removing intake shaft also.
hi, I have the same problem on my N62 engine the mechanism turns on the vaulttronic on the driver side can anyone give me tips on how to solve the problem no error codes are on the car
Hello, Could you please recommend for me a device to diagnose, resetting and update for BMW. I suffering too much here in Iraq because we don't have a good service center. Most of the time I use the internet to fix the issue of my car BMW 745. Does G scan, icarsoft OBD2 is good or there is another device is better. I hope you will assist me to buy the proper device to be able to find the issue directly. I think I have issue with the engine air system (valvetronic) Your cooperation is highly appreciated. Thank you

@@EDGEMOTORS I disconnected the maf sensor and it just cranks after the car been on for a while the radiator fan is real loud like if wants to heat up fuel pressure goes inside my fuel pump and is brand new but didn't help nothing bro
Short one top and long wire at the bottom? Or vise versa? That’s what I forgot to take a picture of the way it was plugged in. Now my car won’t run and misfiring.
What the fuck are you doing? Honestly.. have you ever heard of slowly revving it and.. listening? Lol you hear a lot that way. Revving it cold like that isn’t good.
