So clean! Also very inspiring how you solved the placement of the m-unit, ground and reg-rec!
@corner.custom

Thanks man! This really is the go to place for the M-unit because of the shape of the tank. The reg-rec needs cooling so it pretty much can't be anywhere else placed like it did

@@corner.custom I have so many questions :) I'm currently making a list of what to order and what to do. I have an R100RT from 1979 all stock. I'm also going to convert it to lion. My first quation is if I can keep to original ignition and charging system? (apart from the new voltage regulator). Where did you get the battery box? :)
@corner.custom
@corner.custom 2 года назад
@@pjpankras I suggest you upgrade the original ignition system and reg/rec, just like I did in my video. When going for a Lithium battery the oem charging systems isn't capable for it. The battery box is from Sport Evolution (German website)
@pjpankras
@pjpankras 2 года назад
@@corner.custom my plan is to do the wiring in the winter and leave most of it as it is so I can at least drive it this year. The battery needs replacing so already ordered a lithium battery. I was hoping that all I had to do for now is add a new reg/rec and leave the rest as is.. then gather all to motogadget stuff and redo all the wiring this winter.
@corner.custom
@corner.custom 2 года назад
@@pjpankras Yes that's possible, smart move to change the reg/rec at the same time as the Lithium battery otherwise you'll get charging issues 👍🏼

Thanks man 👍🏼It's not mandatory, but highly recommended. @stefanofrancescoaltamura410
Awesome build! Especially love the grounding bar to the frame. Definitely going to use that on my build. I was curious with the Daytona speedo did you have to use any sort of resistors or anything? Mine seemed to work for a little bit but the gauges or tac don't work anymore it does turn on however and the neutral, turn signal, etc lights work. I also had a grounding issue with my electrical ignition so I'm wondering if that maybe fried it but not certain. keep up the great work!
@corner.custom
@corner.custom Год назад
Thanks man! The grounding bar really works well to keep it nice and organized. With the Daytona speedo you've to use a resistor for the RPM gauge, otherwise it will bounce around. But that's also mentioned in the intallation instructions. For all the other functions it worked well and didn't had any issues with the speedo. I did use it for other bikes as well with great results. Good luck!
