Maybe a tip for your next cold trip. I always take 6 handwarmers with me. Those that you can use one time. They get really hot/warm for 4 hours. And some isolation tape. Usefull for repairs. The tape i can use to stick one handwarmer to the inside of my jacket. And also you have nights that can realy cold. If you have to you can throw one or two inside your sleeping bag. Raising the temp a lot. They take up almost no space but in an emergency they have helped me out a lot. And also since a few years i have bought a cheap elecrical heated pad from Wish. It only cost a few bucks and i had not any hope in it. But actually it is getting quit hot. It has an usb a connector and you can hook it up to a powerbank. It has made the difference for me in a warm and cosy night or a cold and miserible night. It keeps warm the whole night on a 5 Ah cheap powerbank. And again, with some tape you can stick in inside your clothes and it will spread the warmth at the front of your body. Only 6 euro's but very great to bring with you. I choose to bring this with me then a extra warm and bulky sleeping bag. Keeping weight and volume to a minimum. Have been on long trips when it was cold and when you can't get warm at some time you will start to feel miserable. No excape to that. Again, a nice video. I liked it when people are commenting themselfs instead of playing music. This is much more informative and personal.👍 It gives a much vibe to a roadtrip video. So, thanks. I wish i could collect and throw my old bones over the buddy one more time and get headed up that way where you have been. It looks so damn nice. Maybe when it is a bit warmer bit not to hot. I hate hot. All that sweating and keeping your eyelids together so not to much UV light will pass them. And the bold surfaces on your head starts to irritate against the inside padding of the helmet. Standing up while riding and hustle to lay it to the other side to give it a feeling of a bit of ventilation. 20 degrees Celsius is perfect to not have to do that constantly. It gets larger when your getting older you know ? If not you will find out soon enough.👀 Curious for your next video.💪

Like your comment ‘the last PLANNED backtrack 🤣 I spent the night once at the space centre.. to see the northern lights but the light pollution from the floodlights of the centre didn’t help much! Interesting place though.

Abisko was just as pretty as I remembered. Excellent video as usual. PS: Reindeer are very stupid animals. They're not scared of cars at all usually but motorcycles make them run away.

You should visit this region in Winter. Karesuando had -42.5c in 2014 down to -40c is pretty common in January. First snow normaly comes in october sometimes in September. good side is that they dont get that much snow its normaly around 50-60cm snowdepht. Total maybe 200-250cm snowfall in 1 year. Go till Riksgränsen or Björkliden if you want lots of snow and great skiing in that area.

How is the R1250 holding up - any paint blistering on the engine?

@@BackroadMotorcycleAdventures - I'm very interested in running the TKC70 Rocks on my R1250GSA and wonder if you would comment on their performance so far. I ride very similar terrain/conditions (Pacific NW of the United States) and would love your thoughs on road/off- road, wet/dry performance and noise. Thank you!

@@PNWMotoKeith Cool - I used to visit Seattle a lot for work - never rode there, but did visit Touratech for some "merch" :-) The TKC70 Rocks (rear) is great. I like it. I don't think it is very loud. But the front (which is just the regular TKC70) is (compared to its pattern). It work well on easy gravel, and I had no issues in the corners nor on wet roads. I don't lean much on wet road though. The Rocks wear faster than the ordinary 70 (which I believe has a center line), but not as fast as the TKC80. I recently came back from a trip to Poland where I rode a lot sandy roads. On that trip I had the Mitas E07+ fitted, which I think is much better on loose surface. And I honestly don't think they are very loud. I felt more confident with those on the loose and sandy surface. It's always going to wobble on sand, but had no issue with traction. So, yes, the TKC70 Rocks is a good tire, and to me, comparable to the Anakee Adventure. But I think I prefer the Mitas E07+. It performs well on paved roads (and my style of wet riding). I am no expert in tires, this is just my experience based on "normal" use. Thanks for watching 😊

@@BackroadMotorcycleAdventures Thank you for the feedback. I have also considered the EO7+ but was concerned about noise and life expectancy; seems I need to give them a 2nd look. Cheers
