A good video. Got my 2007 e90 328i back on the road today. I replaced the valvetronic gasket. Was leaking badly. The car was stalling at every stop light. Now it purrrs like a kitten! Thanks!
This video is extremely helpful. I am going to replace the Valvetronic seal on my friends 2011 528i with the N52B30 engine. A shop recently quoted him $1450 to replace the engine valve gasket but after recently changing his ignition coils and spark plugs we noticed the reservoir next besides the Valvetronic motor was filled with oil and it looked like it was coming from the Valvetronic motor. We will attempt to fix the issue there with your video and see if that solves the leak before dealing with the engine valve gasket. Thanks!!
@@mohammadhayatca3244 yes, I watched a few other videos before I proceeded to make sure everyone was giving similar instructions. However my entire head gasket ended up needing to be replaced because it was also leaking. But I did do the valvetronic motor gasket myself. I got pics before/during/after I did it. Make sure you fully seat the cables back into their positions. That was my only mistake and I thought the motor wasn’t working anymore lol
This ValveTronic motor had not failed but was at a high mileage 180,000 miles, it was purchase on eBay for a low price but sometimes that low price can mean a very cheap product, so far it is working just fine.
Will the 2009 X5 E70 30I light up the P0340 fault code? I am replacing. Camshaft sensor. Crankshaft sensor. Variable valve As bright as P0340 How to exclude
I had a guy change it for me but I noticed he cross threaded 2 threads, one of the E8 that bolts the valvetronic motor and one of the t30 bolt that holds the gasket... do I have to get a whole new valve cover? The screws keep spinning so they’re not on tight
