If you look at data from countries with large oil extraction practices you'll find that they are more prone to earth quakes, water pollution, underwater contamination, population with high cancer rate, etc. And for what? Geologists do play a hit and miss game but they rarely miss . Economically viable is part of the oil field and there is always instability once oil found in a country , it is standard practice between competitive countries to gain an economic advantage or to destroy the opposing forces such as America and Russia or even France and Britain.
