That is a horrible idea. No one knew or cared who their representative was, even back in the day when we had that system. People vote along party lines, for the brand, not the person. Going back to that system would literally mean Zimbabwe. It would limit voter choice to only two parties (an inevitable consequence of that system), and it will being back gerry mandering. I really dont get what people have against our electoral system, _IT IS NOT THE PROBLEM, IT IS ACTUALLY THE SOLUTION!!_ It is the very reason why we have a realistic reason to vote out the ANC this year. Changing the electoral system when we are about to win is just about the silliest thing we can do, it will hand this country to the ANC forever, and doom us like it doomed Zimbabwe.
