Pica (pronounced: PIE-kah) was a water station west of Seligman where water for the steam engines was processed to remove calcium and impurities from the water to reduce the build up of scale in the boiler, hence the two large tanks at Pica. Yampai (pronounced YAM-pie) was the east end of the l-o-n-g helper grade from Needles, CA to Yampai in the days of steam.
