...Not that anyone's asking about the beautiful picture, sadly, but for future's sake those fighter aircraft are the Saab J-35 Draken. An indigenous cold war fighter manufactured by and for Sweden's Air Force.
Although space is entirely void of anything that could transmit sound waves, i choose to believe this is what space sounds like. Drifting around, solely living off the sun's energy... That lonely space vehicle, soaring into nothingness, into a dark, empty, cold, but entirely welcoming obscure mantle... I wish i could visit space man.
+Bluelight Spike I got good news for you brother, you're already drifting around space on spaceship Earth as it revolves around its sun and its sun follows its own revolution around the Milky Way galaxy, and the galaxy is also in motion. Happy travels brother. Keep a bowl lit so you can find your way in the dark.
+SuburbanoidMisfit111 Lit Bowl in hand, i humbly accept my task as silent explorer: Nothing i see, hear or experience will ever be heard off again. It's a personal, beautiful and terrifying journey based solely upon my need to know the meaning of "Beyond". A dark, intimate, cold and humming journey is ahead of me... And i can't take anybody with me. Just my wishes, a plant, and the sheer need to know "What os beyond the ink of nothingness".
I’m a boards vet, having first heard some of their demo work in around ‘94/95. I’ve never looked back, their music is just incredible to me. I will admit though that I’m not a huge fan of some the fan covers, reworking’s that are out there, but this, this is special and incredibly surreal and atmospheric. It’s at just the right length too. I never thought I’d hear Olson like this. Magic! Oh, and the pic of the two Saab J-35 Draken is superb! Happy bunny.
HI i came to Boards of Canada about 5 years ago or a bit more. dont know how i missed them. Berwyn music have some beautiful covers of Tears from compound eye and farewell fire
All those childhood memories, those fun arcades and malls that were demolished before the end of the 2000s still exist. They’re just in the dimension that time forgot.
You should download paulstretch and see what you can find! It is easy to immediately use, and then hard to get to the part where you can actually work with it. It actually makes me jamming with my friends on portable keyboards sound really pretty.
Dr Penguin agreed my brother! Thanks for commenting... 🙏🏾. It brought me back to listen, wrote this comment 4 years ago and this is giving me everything I need right now 👑💪🏾. Thank you bro
I'm a BOC fan and I love it, well done Hawker - It's hard to believe how many creative rabbit holes this wonderfully short minute and half track has been up and down over the years, I'm sure there's more out there.
Matthew "Crazy Wolf" Guillen so I couldnt help but notice you are a furreh too? :3 (and yeah, BoC is one of my favourite makers of music x3 glad to see you like them too!)
ImpyLane I'm actually not, but I really like wolves, and am not bothered by furries. :) And Boards of Canada is for sure a unique sound. It gets my creativity flowing. :D
The massive roar at the very beginning makes me afraid to fly. I'm imagining this to be like murmurs from God's mouth speaking in His own language when He was creating the universe on the accounts of Genesis. Magnificent.
You can lose yourself in their arrangements for sure. I spent a couple weeks analysing some of their tracks and the use of harmony, melody and submelodies is quite insane when you break it down. It all flows effortlessly but the word genius for these guys is absolutely justified in my opinion. It's almost mathematical precision in some cases that blew my mind. On another realm musically.
I'll never be a pilot, but one of my genuine dreams that i want to come true is me as a passenger maybe, in one of those fighter jets, soaring high above the clouds during a sunset from my perspective, seeing the never-ending indigo, pink and sun-lit sky, turning to a dark, rich shade of blue behind me and just taking in that moment. I don't want to pass away without feeling that at least once in my life. Just the thought of it empties my mind and brings me at peace, realising how wonderful our world and existing in it can be. - Take care.
I've discovered this treasure a few years ago and I'm happy I did. If anyone's interested in more "music" like this, i recommend you to go to the last song of Lord Huron's new album. It's called "Time's blur" and it immediately reminded me of this track. Let me know what you think, if you heard it!
My philosophical self is kicking in as I listen to this music.I just want to say something deep but I know I can put into words what I am imagining. It's almost like a dream.I feel like I am on drugs. It's times like this I wish I was taken inside an alien spaceship so I could fly through space and time without a destination.
i prefer it to the original. paul's extreme soundstretch? the image fits perfectly. what is it about peaceful music juxtaposed with images of tools of destruction? i'm not sure...but it works!
What software did you use to do this? I normally use sony vegas for everything I do but making things slower makes it sound like shit. This sounds good, so I'm curious
If you like this music, and want to form a band like this, hit me up. BoC is my favorite band of all time (tied with one other). I'm looking for the Michael to my Marcus, the Kai to my Dom, the Sean to my Rob, the Martin to my Alan and the John to my Lou. If you get all the above references, we'll get on well. I can send some of my music and you can do the same. Realizing the power of a duo. xxx
there was this program for windows that could mathematically slow down songs.. i remember slowing justing bieber songs and they have sounded amazing.. does anyone knows the name of the software?
