Mystery boat is a 31 Bertram. Super recognizable. The 31 is the most seaworthy fishing boat in its class by far.

I’ll second that… it’s also one of the most important hull designs in that many other boats, especially offshore race boats , were based on her lines. Great boat.. and like you said immediately recognizable…

Not to say anything against the Bertram, but Jarrett Bay has built plenty of boats in the 27' -35' range with much better handling and seaworthiness and they're prettier! Just $$$$ by comparison!

@@erichammond9308 Don't get me wrong but a 31 Jarrett Bay will not compare in ride or seaworthiness to a 31 Bertram. My have better handling, efficiency, and speed, but can't match the ride.

@Shore Boats you missed a good shot a few hours later when FV Endurance was on her way back we nearly got pushed into the south Jetty by a monster wave and she's 43 feet

I like to watch the Haulover videos and laugh when they call Haulover "rough"🤣 When the Coast Guard stations a 47' Motor Life Boat there, I might change my opinion, but as it stands the nearest USCG surf station is 400 miles north at Oak Island NC.

GEEEEEZZZZZ! That Grady at the start....what do you do to get thru Inlet waves without that happening, back off the throttle? Good thing the Montauk had USCG right there. Looked like he just found a break, took path of least resistance. 😳

Too true... But Grady White is a Carolina built boat, and in skilled hands can handle quite a bit more

Gives me hope seeing some of those small craft going out there. I ordered a 15ft mako skiff, I should have it by the spring. However, I'd probably pick a better day
