Yeah never head directly into a cresting wave always head toward the outer edges of a wave where it is less likely to roll you over.

That first captain didn't have a clue, he should of just speed past it, not slow down. I've never seen swell that big at the inlet, man u could surf those waves.😲👍

I rode one of those swells out of Manasquan some 20 yrs ago in a 20ft Grady White stern drive 😂😂 they don’t hit like that often but when they do…. Oh boy. Perspective is everything…I’m sure they felt like they were in a bowl of water, and based on their boating experience decided to call it. I don’t think under the circumstances that he did that badly but he should have been on that throttle and hit it hard before it crested

My guy gave up way too easily…. He had it made after finding the middle of that breaker lol Second boat should have kept the power up to keep the stern off that wave, that could have been bad as you noted.
