All good things to have in the boat, John, but especially the right size socket and power bar, not just for your prop but for the trailer lug nuts as well. I have helped so many folks out over the years who have a spare tire but no trailer jack or wrench in their truck...and don't forget that tow rope .

Great job John, Being prepared can help save the day! When things go really bad and you may need to spend the night in the boat because you are remote. Have those essentials too. Great one.

Thanks for the video. I just bought my first bass boat. This will give me a good starting point on what I need to keep in the boat. Now I just have to wait for this stay at home order to end in my state so I can go pick it up.

Great video, I learned the hard way that you need to keep tools in the boat at all times. Was stuck on the water for 4 hours until I got help.

Man! I have some tools nothing like that. I know your on the road alot and need everything. The livewell thing happened to me at bugs and it will fill the entire back of the boat with water. This was another great video man!

Good video, glad to see I'm not the only one who carries way too many tools :) I would add spare hose/worm clamps (pretty sure I saw some in one of your bins but it's worth mentioning) and a small multi-meter for troubleshooting electrical issues. Of all the things I've seen go wrong on the water, electrical problems have by far been the most prevalent. With all the technology on boats these days, between multiple fish finders, talons/power poles, trolling motors, etc. there are so many electrical connections that are bound to eventually have corrosion from all the moisture inherent in a boat, and having the tools to locate & fix problems is essential.

Great advice and tool set. I’d add a multimeter. It has come in handy multiple times diagnosing problems. Also, spare fuses are a must. Lastly, some nitrile gloves in case I have to work on something where my hands mights get oily.

Good stuff John. As much time as you spend (and have spent) on the water, I respect your opinions on this. It’s going to rain heavy tomorrow , so I’m going out to do an inventory on my tools😊

great video but with all them tools I wouldn’t get on step lol I personally leave majority in the truck besides a spare prop and fuses and a jump started .

The weight is offset by the piece of mind. Thanks for another informative video, I'm newer to owning a boat but years of being a auto mechanic has made me over cautious on the "what ifs", the wife's cars trunk has its own tool box, small floor jack, cigarette lighter air compressor, etc. so I respect your opinion 100%

A charged cordless drill is great. But, if you keep the battery out of the drill and off of the charger, it will last drastically longer. Not only the charge in the battery but the life of the battery as well. Best of luck.

I can’t fix much on my motor so wouldn’t do me much good. All the boat is standard units.
