Well, I hope you're proud of youself, Scott, because you just cost me a $100 (using your code, thanks!). I was considering the Q2 as well, but this one seems a bit more powerful. IMO USB-C should be the standard charging method for most of the massage guns on the market, unless they got some unique battery and power requirements. No need to lug around, forget or lose, another power brick when you travel. I must say your reviews are just excellent, honest, to the point, well edited, and with zero fluff. Your power/stall force testing, even if not "scientific", are indispensable.

I watched your 13 percussion gun review because I want to buy one for my son who is in the Army & after watching this review of the Bob and Brad, I decided this is the one I want to get for him. I started watching Bob & Brad after I broke my shoulder a few years ago & developed frozen shoulder afterwards; they helped me a lot. I just discovered you and your massage gun videos. Every time I think I've decided on "the one" I watch another video and find myself changing my mind. hahaha I'd finally convinced myself to get the Bob and Brad and discovered the code no longer works. I decided to read some comments and saw the one mentioning the new Bob and Brad pocket size version and THAT is the one I'm going to get. Seems hard to beat at the $89.99 price on Amazon. I bought the Medcursor Mini and my Parents steal it from me. Now I purchased this one from bob and brad with your link because i want to spend you a coffee ;).
Good video… BUT I have noticed that all of these videos test the noise decibel level by only turning these on, and not actually using them. All of them I have tried double in noise as soon as you dig in and start using it. And of course that’s the true measure of decibels. We don’t just stand there with these running. I have a few types and all of them get much louder once you start massaging. Why am I the only one that seems to be catching this mishap in all of these reviews?
Interesting thought. There’s still a huge difference. The loud ones are even louder when using. I’ll have to see if there’s a way I can consistently test this with similar pressure etc
Stumbled upon your videos as I’m suffering from analysis paralysis over massage guns, so thanks for these, they’re great! I’m between this one and the Sportneer Elite, which one would you choose if you could only pick one? I plan on using it mostly on my quads, hamstrings, glutes, and lower back, with the occasional upper body, and portability isn’t really a huge factor. Also have you ever tried the Renpho one with the adjustable head? It seems like a good option for hard to reach areas. Thanks!
If portability isn’t a huge factor you may want to try Sportneer. It’s also a little stronger for those deeper muscles. I have a video coming out (hopefully today) on different grips and adjustments & I honestly don’t think are worth it usually. I haven’t retired the one you mentioned though to be fair

An update: happy with mine, quality is certainly there, like you said. Still evaluating the whole massage gun thing, especially for preventing a relapse of golfer's elbow. Scott, can you please confirm that the C2 is indeed compatible with other guns' attachments, like the sportneer, voxpro or others? I might try to get a hold of some metal head attachments down the line, for use with oil/lotion.
I wish they could make this available in Canada. I really want to get one. One seller posted on Amazon Canada last week but he is selling them for $400 CAD which is too much considering it just cost around $120 USD
For sure this is the renpho. I just purchased it in Canada and it is identical down to the included USB cable. Amazing massage gun, just without the bob and brad name on it. I can see why they endorsed this producer and particular gun, it’s amazing and I love that I can work out a knot on a low level without it stalling.
if price was not a constraint would you go for one with higher stall force if what you are looking is for a percussion gun for big muscles (such as quads, glutes, lumbar…)

I settled on the B&B but Amazon wouldn't accept either of the discount codes on November 22. Customer Service speculated the time period has expired. Will you please confirm that so that I don't unnecessarily lose the10% off?
Maybe weird question, but have you checked out the Pervita massage gun? I can't help but think it's the same as this one with a different plastic case. The carrying case seems to be the same for both. They both have USB type-C charging and the 10 minute timer and speed settings.
I compared your recent separate videos of Bob & Brad with the Sportneer Elite D9. In each said essentially, "this is the best." You praised B&B for its lightness and Sportneer for is weight because it helps with pressing down. You praised B&B for its handle design that's U-shaped (and criticize O-shape) and praised Sportneer for its O-shape (heart shape?). Both are comparable in price. You liked that B&B's motor stops when it stalls; because you didn't mention this feature for Sportneer. Because I will use a massage gun exclusively at home, portability is moot. You obviously travel much and weight is an issue. Also, you're much more muscular than me so can press down. So, which is your favorite for use at home. I'm going to post this also on the Sportneer site. Looking forward to you solving a dilemma for me.
Wow great research! A pro in one is a con of another. For the handles, as long as it’s not a fat circle it’s feels much better. Also, keep in mind when I made the Sportneer I hadn’t even touched the B&B yet. B&B is honestly the one I carry. It’s incredibly light. If ultra portable and not looking for too much power you may also want to watch my video on the RecoverFun. I want to make sure you get one you like. Let me know if you have other questions
If you're using it at home and don't mind spending a few hundred more a little louder and want something strong that doesn't stall out with 16mm travel and replaceable batteries I recommend buying a theragun pro from Costco. They only have it every once in a while but it's always a sale price of 399 vs 599 everywhere else but the best part is that if you don't like it or it breaks you can get your money back from Costco. I had bought mine from best buy year before last and use it all the time and it works great still and is plenty strong. I'm 250lbs with dense muscles and a fat layer
The Mebak 3 appears to be the more powerful version of this model, four batteries instead on two, also more attachments. Also there is a meter to show how much pressure being applied. Could you do a review of the Medak 3?

I believe they stopped the code for Black Friday. I’ll verify the spec. I can tell you that this one is very strong, especially for the size. Sometimes the stuff for spec doesn’t match the usability
I have this and it works great... I do need something with a bit more travel though for deeper muscle penetration. Thinking about grabbing the Theregun elite also.

I bought this item, got here today and it performs amazing but after using it for a bit there is this sort of oil that comes off from the place where the head attatchments are placed (from the gun itself). Is anyone experiencing the same where this is normal or should i ask for a change of product?
If it’s a tiny drip or two I’ve seen that across various brands and will stop. Just factory lubing it before leaving factory. If it’s dripping a lot than that’s not Norma.
Hi Scott, I just got the C2 massage gun few days ago. The only thing I struggle with is the battery life. You said it's great, everybody say it's great but I get approximately an hour, maybe an hour and a half on medium setting before battery runs out. It's also fully charged after 2,5 hours instead of 3,5h. Did I get a faulty one? I was so excited about it and now I don't know if I should return it.
Ooh that is a tough one. Maybe. The B&B also has more power on lower speeds. Depends on what you want. If you go to Sportneer I do have a discount code there as well if you haven’t watched that review video yet. I don’t think you could go wrong between those two. Let me know what you go with!

Hey Steven!! I’d say in use they are both about the same with my eyes closed. I think the B&B is probably a little stronger on lower levels, but it has 5 speeds vs the 20 on the Softerspot which is a little overkill. Ha I did the NCNS competition at Ninjas United 👍😂

how is stallforce and amplitude exactly compared to theragun and hypervolt pro? I look for a device that has a lot of force in the lowest setting. Main problem area is quads and ILT.
I personally feel it’s stronger compared to Hypervolt. The Theragun is probably stronger yet. I can say for most people it wouldn’t matter and definitely not worth the cost. Might be for you though. You could try one then send it back if it doesn’t work for your needs

Both are great. The Jawku is smaller yet. I personally prefer the B&B because I feel it’s a little more well rounded. If you want a tiny one though the Jawku is great!
Hi Scott and thank you very much for your very professional reviews, here in italy is veery difficult to find pro reviews about massage guns so I’m kind of lost cause not all the models you talk about are easy to buy from here. Anyway this B&B gun is available here too but I’m worried about the stroke amplitude, on their website they say it’s 8mm. The half of a theragun. Isn’t it a very important parameter as you often say? I suffer of lower back pain and with a budget gun I just sent back I couldn’t reach deep enough and it almost just felt like a strong vibration which was numbing the area. Which gun would you suggest for an actual massage and not only an after exercize relaxing one? I was going for the theragun prime but it’s kind of pricey and you say it’s loud.. so again, I’m lost😢 Please help! And thanks again, hugs from Rome
I understand. I honestly think stall force is more important. The amplitude of 8mm is shorter, but still effective. That is honestly the massage gun I use primarily. The longer amplitude does “hit” harder, but I don’t believe it is needed to be effective. Especially when you factor in noise and price. I hope that helps 👍 Another one you could look at is the Softerspot S2. Has a longer amplitude and is still very quiet. I have a few reviews on that one as well.

Hello congratulations for the video you almost make me want to take the bob and brad but first I would like to ask you a question to better understand if the gun is right for me, I have a slim body, I train bodyweight calisthenics mtb and skates, in your opinion is the bob and brad c2 good for the whole body or is the little excursion of only 8mm suitable only for small muscles? I would not like it to be inadequate for thighs and buttocks ... alternatively what could you recommend? Thank you
I am a 40yo ninja Warrior athlete with an athletic build on a smaller frame. I personally use the Bob & Brad Q2 and has a 7 mm amplitude, but it does everything I needed to do personally. If you want something that is stronger and larger you could go with the Mebak 3. It’s incredibly affordable and does a great job as well. Have you seen the RENPHO Mini massage gun? Its literally the same exact gun with a different name on it for $20 dollars less and a 25$ off coupon on Amazon. Makes me wonder which one to trust.
Good eyes. Yes, I have heard of it but haven’t tried it. Generally they are the same but not always - sometimes cheaper parts or parts that didn’t meet the standard of other brand. Not sure though. I’ve reached out to them about getting one since I’ve done other videos for them and they won’t reply after multiple attempts. Makes me wonder why.

Scott I just opened my brad and bob c1 massage gun followed instructions to charge for 3 hrs , it showed 4 blue lights and then proceeded to turn it on and it would not power up. Any hints
Oh bummer. Holding the power button down for 3-5 seconds, right? Hopefully you didn’t get a Dead On Arrival or something. If so, I know they’ll warranty, but it’s the hassle of it.

I was not lucky, battery does not last too long. I followed the chraging instructions according to the manual and total use did not go over 30-35 minutes. Even, led 1 did not flash when going under 10% . Very dissapointing

If plan on doing a lot of legs were you want to second hand to push and dig deeper, you may want the bigger C2. Otherwise I personally use the Q2 now almost exclusively
The only thing I'm a little salty about is this is still a generic chinese 'knockoff' and not much changes / personalization is done. Just take a look at the Renpho R3. Identical device and features, just tiny minor tweaks on the build so it doesn't get labeled as a copy :P Still glad this seems to perform so well! We need a review for the Renpho Mini from you!
All of them, except maybe the original Theragun, are out-sourced from chinese factories. Those factories will make your product according to specification, and most importantly - a price point. A lot of them are "knock-offs" with the same design but sometimes different internals. The better ones, like the B&B models and some others, are actually an original design of that particular manufacturer and use higher quality motors and batteries. Renpho seems to get their product from the same maker, slightly different model.

One more q: Are you still mostly carrying the Q2 vs the original? I'm very curious to see how they compare to each other. Lots of minis popping up on IndieGogo and other options, but I think it's smarter to go with a company you know has a warranty, a history/reputation, etc.

I haven’t tried the Mini, but I do have the Prime and Elite versions. If yours is just as loud then yes. Also I wasn’t sure how good of a Massage Gun it was with the style of handle. I can I haven’t used it I am 100% honestly say this is by far my favorite Massage Gun I have used
I’m not positive of the spec. I reached out to them to get that info. After using 30+ massage guns for the last two years I can tell you that that spec isn’t very accurate usually. That is one reason I started making review videos because some say they are strong but just aren’t wow others have a lower spec but are very strong. The Bob and Brad run is incredibly strong especially for the size. Even the lower gears are pretty strong
