Hello Dr Jo, I'm 22 and I don't know how I got this problem in my knee maybe due to some injury or heavy weight lifting. Can you please help me. I have crepitus kind of sound coming from my left knee and I can't run with this, I feel like loose weak knee joint. What should I do to cure it?
This helped me with a pinched nerve I’ve had for 13+ years. Also helped relieve my back pain in my s1/s2 area from a daily 9 down to a 2. Huge help for me
@Tony Camaj usually what people mean by a pinched nerve is general muscle or nerve pain. A pinched nerve actually trapped or pressed on by a slipped or ruptured disc or arthritis will no be helped by this device. A pinched nerve like the piriformis muscle pinching the sciatica could theoretically be relieved by percussion massagers but I haven’t found relief of any back/piriformis/sciatic pain. I do find it feels nice to relieve a bit of tension, but don’t expect it to heal actual medical/chronic pain conditions.
@@shizapapa basically back pain caused by muscle around the back bone or spine got tight and pull the bone away from it position which causes pain. Massage gun can soften the muscle tissue and relive the muscle tightness as well as pain.
this massager helped my daughter like unbelieveable . She was paying $150 a week for massages but no more. This machine does the relief. I am thankful becasue it saves me moneu
I had discovered these machines after seeing a 'World's Strongest Man' contestant using one. Immediately went out and bought one, and have not been disappointed. As it came with few instructions for use, it is through videos like this that I can get the best out of my 'massage gun' 👍
Hi Dr. Jo, your videos are helpful. I get muscle spasm upper back couple of times a month due to bad posture. I don’t want to keep taking meds. I am contemplating to get a infrared heat pad or a gun massager.
I'm going to order one of those because I've been seeing a chiropractor for pain I've had for years and it's finally gone. But now I'm exercising so I just don't want to be in pain like that again. I'm so glad you mentioned not to go too hard because I've had one before and I'd push it into my skin. I guess I felt it would get in there better haha But I'll definitely take it easier and hopefully keep my body on a great path and pain free. Thanks for the great video!
Whomever is reading this remember to spread as much LOVE AS POSSIBLE, don't litter, help out the homeless and take care of nature please it's really important we gotta take care of eachother and mother earth. thank you and have a blessed life ❤
@@Ninjaturtlesoup 🤣 alkaline eating is a myth, your body has 2000 different pHs in different organs and tissues. You can't change your "overall" pH with diet. Your body has redundant systems to keep that which should be neutral, acidic, or basic in the right range.
I want to use my gun on my neck and skull SO BAD but it’s too strong (which is saying a LOT for me) and makes me feel like I’m getting brain damage. How do I get around this?
I had a neck fusion in 2018 and I'm still suffering with severe neck stiffness and pain. Can a massage gun be used on your neck if you've had a fusion? I haven't been able to find any information out there on this topic. Please help 😢
You will need to check on the company's site for that: iReliev Percussion Massager at: ireliev.com/product/percussion-massage-gun/?uid=6&oid=1&affid=17 (affiliate link)
Would it be wise to use this on a trapped nerve on the neck, im week 12 with nerve pain, im still having pain all down my right arm. Ive got flexibility in the neck but still get pins and needle pain when i stretch my neck.
I get neck pain and sometimes it makes me lightheaded, dizzy and the back of my head neck feels tight, that it gives me tension headaches, would this massage gun help?
This is probably a stupid question, but I like to use mine on my cheek/jaw not far from my ear (where the upper and lower jaw are hinged). Is there any risk to my ear drum from the vibrations?
This is very dangerous! The jaw/TMJ joint is about the most sensitive joint in the body. You could permanently damage the disc in the joint. The only way you could use it on the jaw is using the foam ball...on the side. (So it's going parallel to the skin ) but even then I wouldn't personally do it. Too much risk of doing damage.
I bought one using your link, thanks! (I confirmed with my Chiropractor who I see regularly if was a good tool for me and she said yes.) I love it. Do you have an IT Band/Glute video?
An article from The Washington post states using a massage gun on the neck could cause a carotid dissection. I believe this information comes from a massage therapist who likely only has a rudimentary understanding of anatomy. I take it you don’t concur? I used mine on my neck a few times prior to reading this and it felt incredible and so productive.
As I mentioned in the video, you should not use it on the front of the neck near the carotid area. This video is about using it on the muscles in the back of the neck and shoulder area.
Hello not sure if I will get a reply or not but I got my tooth extraction and my nape area and whole neck nerve left pinched ....I don't want to experience it again as it stayed for 1.3week ,will this gun help me ?
Question, is there a differance if the person getting the massage is sitting or laying on their belly? Also, if the person has heart issues (High blood pressure, trombosis etc) Should they get massaged with the massage gun? Thanks in advance
As a nurse, Good to make the point about coming around the sides to the front of the neck! Yes we don't need to massage those carotids!!! 😲 We'll leave that to the doctors in the hospital if needed -(God forbid!)
It can be a response from over stimulating the nerves in that area with vibration. It could be from pushing too hard when using the massage gun or using it for too long.
Is this definitely safe to use on the back of the neck? I use my massage gun on the lowest setting on my neck and I find it really helps but this is the only info I can find that says it's safe to use it on the neck? Thanks
Hello Doctor. Hope you remember my username, but its not the same account. RU-vid a year ago, has deleted my old account with a similar name for some reason, god knows why. Its unfortunate all the conversations I had with you in the comments, and other youtubers also got deleted.
Do not use it directly on or around your spine if you have spine damage (unless a dr gives you the clear). your pain is from the herniation/damage to the spine and percussion massager may do more damage or worsen pain. It should only be used for muscle pain.
i have one of those but i don't know how to do it myself. I study programming and i don't like exercise a lot. I just like to walk. I'l ltry this things to see if my neck stops hurting like A LOT.
