I’m a Florida boy! Every single time I see anything Skynyrd I have to watch. I never got to see skynyrd or RCB but I bought up and listened to everything they did! The one time I almost got to see RCB my four banger clunker broke down and I end up selling the tickets I had to a buddy and his girlfriend for half price! I wasn’t happy about it but that’s what happened! I’ll always love those two bands especially Lynyrd Skynyrd of course they defined my whole childhood and adulthood! God bless!
@Ann Daniels You're very welcome! So very glad for you to see it. Rick got us in touch with Skynyrd management and we showed them what we have done and they gave us Bob's phone # and got to meet him and his family and hung with them over a few years and had a blast. I sure miss him and Marsha so down to earth people. ...
@@TonyBeazley I'm in awe, Tony..thank you so much for that & responding! You are so lucky to have met him & his wife, and hang out with them! God Bless you and so sorry that Bob had that accident . May he 🙏 rest in peace
Yes he was, been on edge, walking on egg shells, anxiety and stress produces a chemical in the brain ,a defense fight or flight way of over thinking that does effect your mind, brain wellness because of always having too much of that "chemical" it produces
Brother Bob. The part he wrote & played on I Ain't The One to this day one of the coolest rhythms I've ever heard. For me, the true band was the one shown on the Pronounced album cover, and we KNOW Burns is in that picture. Pardon a humble brag ... I've been to that very spot that picture taken, Jonesboro GA. Sat on the storefront flowerpot ledge and asked the real estate office secretary to take it for me; she patiently & poilitely indulged me. Lost the damn thing since dammit but the memory forever. Signed, A yankee traveled a 1000 miies to go there. PS: She didn't know how historic her workplace is. I was surprised ...
Right. No doubt had he carried on with the boys he would’ve just been amazing. AP is a great player and seems to be a sweet human but I’ve studied this band and as a drummer I’m telling you Bob Burns even as a teenager was S O L I D in the pocket and on TOP of the beat at all times. Very technical early on. I have one clip in particular I could show you from early 70’s maybe a couple years before ’75 and you would be amazed. You would say out loud something along the lines of “man, I just never knew or realized how great Bob was. His original beats were fresh and simply mind blowing. Not easy to duplicate believe me. Who do you think wrote all those beats in the original and best LS music? The great Bob Burns that’s who. I give AP his due respect but in interviews with various members of the band, they all said AP struggled learning Bobs beats to the music but that AP was fantastic on his contributions. Just keeping it real ✌🏼
wow i have not seen Bob Burns since that summer of 1999 or 2000, when i met him at Faith Temple Church in Brighton, Michigan as he was hitchhiking to a place up north (i wont say where). I am SO SAD to hear that he died .... he wanted me (back then) to come preach the bible at his concerts and gave me his phone # ..... i was too afraid and nervous and never followed up on that. i regret that, all these years later :( what is the name of his wife in this video? she is lovely.
I think Lynyrd was in Bob for sure ,I know after second helping he told Ronnie he had changed, but Ronnie had to or Skynyrd wouldn't have carried on Ronnie signed his name on the contract that changes you.
